Something’s not right

-Enigma-

I have given up now - no one can say it was not without a fight. But then no one on heaven and earth would give a damn anyway. I gave from the heart and it was a joy to help others. I felt such peace with that. I never did it for anything in return ever, I did it because I truly cared and felt so much genuine compassion towards others. I was promised dreams and peace would come true even though I never asked. It felt so good to know I made someone's lives a bit better.

Why is it that people like me are then faced with so much heartache, injustice, trauma and adversity that seeks to do everything in its power to destroy that good, to take the little good and peace I had, to utterly destroy me. Why?

I had always been there when possible others times of need - now that I truly need someone I have been all but abandoned by those I knew and those in the spirit. I realise now everything was a lie and feel utterless helpless and lost. I have lost everything and don't see the point in being here. I hope I don't wake up to another day of despair.

Hello my dear @Maggie

Hope you are having as nice a day as yesterday - it sounded wonderful, so relaxing. I love days like that, and I so miss days like that. It was wonderful to read of yours. I know what you mean by not having the energy to keep up like we once did - I feel the same with the dramas. I have had enough.

I do mostly all I said with my daughter, I don't give into her demands but my dilemma is my fear of making her homeless because of her irresponsibility. You are right - it is her debts, her life and we do have right to happiness and peace. My emotions get in the way - grief holds me back. Always grief. Not to mention holding us back from the chance of a somewhat normal life.

My weakness is my grief, emotional ties - she just has to find somewhere to go and I would be okay. I just don't see how it is possible with the cost of rents here. I will keep telling her she needs to look to move and see what happens. I can't afford to go down anymore mentally or physically as I have taken on more volunteer work and people will be relying on me. And I worry for my husband's health. Hope not all will be ruined. I feel like crying. Why can't she just move on with love.

You describe the sea scene so well. I can see it. A tear comes to my eyes....it would be lovely.

Its a sunny day here as well and the winds have dropped which is good. We will probably go out for lunch somewhere. Can't wait to hear all about your day. Lots of love to you ❤️xxx

Re: Over The Edge

Your right @Maggie - I can't let her stop me from reaching my dreams. I have to believe she will be alright and it will work out. What she said the other day was an attempt to control through the heartstrings. I can't allow it. Thank you for your support. ❤️

Re: Over The Edge

@Former-Member I'm in a catholic care flat, they are for low income people, could your daughter get into one of these, we get rent assistance which is a real help and if she found a two bedroom one she might like to share with a friend and you might be able to visit her from time to time and she could visit you if it's what you want. I do understand your fears of homelessness, that's huge, but is it likely that would happen? She will have some inbuilt resilience but it might not show until she's on her own. You have so much on your plate, you are such a good lady, it's so unfair. Keep dreaming, I do believe you will find your way through to your dream home.

My day is quiet, I've been doing cross stitch for awhile now. My friend is refusing to talk to me today. Last night she wanted to go to a light show which is on in town. I just couldn't face it, crowds of people and my face is badly brused as well as a dressing down my nose, I just couldn't face the questions on people's faces, so, she's annoyed I didn't go. She will get over it, it just makes it so hard, I also have a cold and feel a bit off colour.

Another beautiful spring day @Former-Member I can't wait for the garden to start growing. I did walk to the park with fur baby and picked some wattle and pressed it. So I'm starting.

Always remember you are a good person, no matter what life throws at you. Thinking of you my friend.

Re: Over The Edge

I love your posts @Maggie - I always feel better when I read them. You are so special to me.

I have never heard of a Catholic Care flat - what a wonderful scheme. My daughter may not be eligible for one, not sure. She works but on a low income. I will have to see what I can find out. I liked what you said that her resilience may come out when she needs to fend for herself. This could be the case - I like that positive.

Yes it is unfair, probably for many others too out there. I not only want this dream to happen for my own personal happiness, but equally to be able to finally heal so I can put myself fully into my volunteer work. The latter means as much to me as my dream home. I know it's what I am meant to do with my life and it's so important to me that it's fulfilled before I depart. It does seem like everything tries to stop it. Or I have to build more resilience. I simply want the health to give more to others. Simple, but very hard for me to obtain because of the constant stress.

I will hold onto the faith you have offered me - I will find a way to my peace, my dream, to fulfill my purpose. As it's meant to be.

My daughter's life would be good too if she chose a better lifestyle, worked on her self esteem and became responsible. I am trying to get this through. I pray someone will come into her life that will help her get there. That's a dream of mine too but my daughter self destructs and prevents this. If only she had some faith in herself, love and a higher goodness. The latter is the only thing in my eyes that can bring complete happiness.

Sorry to read that you are feeling off colour. I do understand you not wanting to face crowds when feeling like that - I am the same. For your friend not to talk to you because of that is a tad immature and can cause tension making things harder - but she will get over it. That is something my daughter would do and she does get over it. I am glad you are saying no sometimes when not up to things.

Good to read that you went for a walk again with your gorgeous fur baby - I love reading what you see and feel along the way. I use to be like that - and I will again one day I believe 😊 Isn't it a joyful wonderful feeling - nothing can beat it especially on a beautiful spring day. Are you still working on the same cross stitch you showed me a pic of some months ago? Little house of needlework I think the designer was? I have been sewing at a much slower rate and have to catch up.

Its still what I call cold here - 20 degrees but we have a wind chill factor happening at the moment. It was actually warmer in June and July. But that will all change soon as it's building up to 28 degrees predicted on Tuesday. And the fires are starting here already (small ones thankfully).

Tomorrow we are off to the doctors as my husband has a chest infection. His immune system is low and he is not sleeping well so I worry about him too. Too much worry - I have to stop as it's effecting my health quite badly.

Thank you for your kind kind words to me, they mean so much. And I hope you start to feel better soon. Somehow everything will work out. Sending a warm hug to you xx

@oceangirl Thinking of you as you go to hospital today. I'm wondering if you will not get visitors being far from home. I hope you manage some rest and care while you are there. Sending warm wishes.

Re: Over The Edge

@Former-Member I wonder if you could get your daughter settled in a flat before you move she might settle a bit. You know like garage sales and gumtree for stuff, things to do together but with an out come for both of you. It might be fun, and she might like some independent for herself. Making curtains and pics for walls, I've done it here and it's fun.

Oh yes the friend. She has no concern for me just herself and her sister, I know that and always have. She has a temper and let's fly so I'm intimidated by her behaviours and I think she knows this too. Like I said before, I have to find some respect for myself, oooooohhhhhhh!!!!!!

Have you pressed flowers @Former-Member? A very simple but satisfying pastime. People just love receiving cards from your garden or other places. All you need is a couple of old phone books and a heavy paver. Done. Then some patience waiting for them to press, three to six weeks, depending on thickness.

Sorry your husband is unwell. Good luck today.

I finished the little houses cross stitch and I'm now doing a very simple one. I'm post a pic for you.

Sending a warm hug. You are special to me and many here.
