Something’s not right

-Enigma-

I have given up now - no one can say it was not without a fight. But then no one on heaven and earth would give a damn anyway. I gave from the heart and it was a joy to help others. I felt such peace with that. I never did it for anything in return ever, I did it because I truly cared and felt so much genuine compassion towards others. I was promised dreams and peace would come true even though I never asked. It felt so good to know I made someone's lives a bit better.

Why is it that people like me are then faced with so much heartache, injustice, trauma and adversity that seeks to do everything in its power to destroy that good, to take the little good and peace I had, to utterly destroy me. Why?

I had always been there when possible others times of need - now that I truly need someone I have been all but abandoned by those I knew and those in the spirit. I realise now everything was a lie and feel utterless helpless and lost. I have lost everything and don't see the point in being here. I hope I don't wake up to another day of despair.

Re: Over The Edge

Oh @Former-Member I now have two shiners of black eyes and a black lip. It looks a whole lot worse than it feels, but people are sympathetic with physical injuries, not so with emotional though, and they hurt so much more.

I do get it regarding your daughter, letting go of part of yourself must be very difficult, and wondering if she will cope. But she is not more important than you, just equal. I think I am a nurturer also, but not towards myself. Seems like a contradiction, might well be, but it's the way it is with me.

My friend is a difficult situation. I asked for help yesterday, I find asking for help so hard. First off I was rejected and I said I would get a taxi to the Drs, but she agreed in the end, I felt bad and wished I had not asked at all. It's always been this way. I've sorted her wardrobe out numerous times, untangled heaps of jewlery, gardening, cleaning, you name it I've done it, but I'm tired now and I've started to put up some protections. My counsellor has told me to do this, hard but necessary. A small dose of your daughter I guess, but no blood relationship, so I get it!!!!!

I'm glad you are having a quiet one today, I am too. A bit of cross stitch, washing up etc.

There's snow down to low levels here and it's cold but the sun is out. It looks beautiful on the mountains.

I will help keep your dream alive. You have battled hard to get where you are, so have I. My flat atm is all I could ever hope for, with a garden, my forever home, yours is just around the corner, and you deserve it, so does hubby.

Take care for the rest of the day. I hope you headache eases. Sending warm wishes from cold Tassie.

Oh wow @Maggie - I just loved Shaina Noll "You can relax now". And it did made me feel sooo relaxed. Those songs I find so soothing - if you have any more similar songs I would love to listen to them - the visual beauty in the background is breathtaking. This really made my day when I came home this evening and listened to this - I started to unwind straight away.

What a day I had! I nearly never got to my volunteering today as the headache/migraine from the day before was still severe well into the evening and I didn't think I would get there the next morning. I was still suffering at 1:00 in the morning wide awake. I did manage to slip into slumber and awoke feeling quite ordinary but still got up, showered and attended the shop. I am so glad I did. Not only for enjoying the staff and customers but my close friend and manager was very distraught as she just learned that her cancer had returned (its quite a severe form of it). She was crying in the office and I am so glad I was there to comfort her. She only told me and hubby as we are closer to her. I reassured her that she will beat it and she will. She felt a bit better having someone to talk to - I was meant to be there today.

When I arrived home I received a phone call from my best friend inviting me and hubby to share one of her famous baked dinner with her and husband. I jumped to the chance. We had a great evening enjoying good food and having a laugh. We then sat and watched "Home and Away", which I deplore but tolerated for the others. They film it not far from where I will be moving to on the oceanfront. The acting is so bad that I get a good belly laugh from it 😝.

It's a shame your friendship seems a bit one-sided. I would of felt the same as you did about the trip to the doctors. But the up side is that you can have fun together and that is good value. Just a pity she is not as supportive as you are. Are there any interest groups or activities you may enjoy to join where you can broaden your circles of friendships or is that a bit too confronting for you? I use to belong to a gardening group and enjoyed the topics shared on gardening and the days out we had exploring open gardens. I liked sharing these experiences with like minded others of whom some ended up becoming friends. I think you would enjoy this.

Your flat is your sanctuary as my new home will be to me. Where we can have peace and be surrounded by lovely gardens and nature. Thank you for helping to keep this dream alive for me - it helps me to visualise it and now I am really looking forward to it. Please do remind me again from time to time as stress can rob me of this dream.

It sounds like such a beautiful time of the year in Tassie with the snow on the mountain tops - I can just see the beauty and freshness of it.

I hope your bruising has eased and so relieved the fall didn't cause any worse injury. Please be careful my friend as you are very special to me.

May I ask how you posted a YouTube song to here at Sane?

We are off to my husband's dentist appt tomorrow. We may have a nice lunch after that overlooking the beautiful oceanfront there. What are your plans for tomorrow and the weekend? Sending you a warm hug, love OTE ❤️

Hello @Zoe7 - how have you been going? I haven't seen you around here for awhile. I have been thinking of you a lot. Hugs 🤗 ❤️

Hi @Former-Member I was around a bit for a couple of days then 'hit a wall' last night. Couldn't be back on here until tonight but I won't be around long. Lovely to 'see' you though @Former-Member and I often think of you too

Re: Over The Edge

@Former-Member The utube was a first for me yesterday. @Faith-and-Hope Showed me how to do it. I'll see later if I can bring her post here, something to learn today. It's exciting for me as music speaks to my heart/soul.

Unfortunatley meeting people in the real world is just too much, people terrify me, and I get stuck for words, panic and it all turns bad. I have an uncanny gift of attracting people who like to take advantage of almost everything, then when they feel like it, they just walk without telling me why. I end up feeling like such a loser, so I just stay home. Yes I do have a laugh with my friend, but mostly it's walking on eggshells. She's been very abusive in the past and I pulled away, but got pulled back with her sisters illness. I'm regretting it now, but there it is.

Your roast dinner sounded lovely, along with your laughter and good friends. You have so much to give @Former-Member and you give it graciously.

Im sorry your friends cancer has returned, and you are right, she will beat it, many do.

My counsellor comes this morning, so it will be a good few hours. She has a great sense of humour and we go for a coffee together at times, and Bunnings. She's a great gardener, grows all her own fruit and vegs, loves nature, and has a rescue dog she adores. My angel in blue jeans !!!!!!

Ive finally found someone to put my fence up, so in a few weeks it will be done and fur baby safe.

Enjoy you lunch today. A warm hug my friend.

@Zoe7 Thinking of you.
