Something’s not right

I have given up now - no one can say it was not without a fight. But then no one on heaven and earth would give a damn anyway. I gave from the heart and it was a joy to help others. I felt such peace with that. I never did it for anything in return ever, I did it because I truly cared and felt so much genuine compassion towards others. I was promised dreams and peace would come true even though I never asked. It felt so good to know I made someone's lives a bit better.

Why is it that people like me are then faced with so much heartache, injustice, trauma and adversity that seeks to do everything in its power to destroy that good, to take the little good and peace I had, to utterly destroy me. Why?

I had always been there when possible others times of need - now that I truly need someone I have been all but abandoned by those I knew and those in the spirit. I realise now everything was a lie and feel utterless helpless and lost. I have lost everything and don't see the point in being here. I hope I don't wake up to another day of despair.

Re: Over The Edge

Hi @Maggie

Sounds like you had a nice day cross stitching and out in the garden. Which is sounding dreamy - I love the scent of Jasmine. I will be planting that also where we move to. It's good that you don't beat yourself up when you don't end up going for a walk etc - you will when you are ready and at your pace. I remember going for my first walks when agrophobic - the anxiety nearly made me hyperventilate. One step at a time.

I do recall my mother drinking in the earlier days as well. Yes, everything was swept under the carpet in those days - I had to deal with everything mentioned on my own with no outside help. My mother may have been jailed if it had not been covered up. It was not only me she did this to but my sister and brother as well. All of whom suffer now as a result. I have no doubt our mothers were mentally unstable - and no help was on offer in those days. We are lucky to be here really. My mother has mellowed but still unable to love and give. Still selfish. My daughter can't understand why I still speak to her.

Its like a spring here today. We had high winds but temps of about 28 degrees. Can't imagine what the summer temperatures will bring 😬 Can't wait to get closer to that sea breeze.

Yes my daughter loves me in her way - she is narcissistic presently, actually was exhibiting signs of sociopathy at one stage but that seems to have subsided in line with the reduction of drug dependency. She may be thinking a bit clearer now hopefully. She is making plans to move out - this is her time now to move on and grow as a person. I feel in time that we may grow closer as she realises what we did for her - I can only hope. I don't know if I could take much more grief - hopefully the tide is turning.

Do you have any plans for the weekend my dear friend? I hope to do some cross stitch and shopping, but not sure what else yet. Hugs 🤗 xx

Re: Over The Edge

Hi @Former-Member Its been a wild night here. The last two nights we have had thunder and lightening. My fur baby has been frightened for the first time, it might be that we have moved not sure. She kept running into the lounge room. Eventually I got the message and set her up with a light, my dressing gown and the heater. She came back into the bedroom in her own time, so all is well.

28 degrees WOW that's summer weather down here, and a very hot day. I think we get 14-16 at atm.

So far no plans for today it will just have to happen. What are you up to today?. Take care.

Re: Over The Edge

Hi @Maggie

Poor little darling - dogs don't like thunder in my experience. And unfamiliar territory wouldn't of helped. I am glad her anxiety eased thanks to the love and care you give her. It always pains me when I witness my neighbours treatment of their dogs - they lock them outside, don't let them indoors or pay much attention to them. I think that is cruel. I don't know why they get a pet if they don't make them part of the family as that is what they are - family. Good to read your fur baby settled.

Yes the weather is warming up here quickly. Still windy though and the temp is lower today, around low 20s. Summer can be very hot here, i will appreciate that sea breeze.

I am still very physically weak, which is starting to interfere with my normal routine. I will probably go to the shops to buy some food and tidy up a bit. Then just watch a good movie with hubby tonight. Tomorrow I will catch up on seeing my friend who lives around the corner. I like weekends like that where there is no pressure or tension.

My daughter continues to improve I am pleased to say. Considering she is in debt and does have legit health and financial concerns where she has to borrow money - she is smiling and pleasant. Quite remarkable. I hope it lasts. She told her work of her financial situation and they offered her more hours and the supervisor is driving her home from shifts. What a wonderful place to work! My daughter can be a nice person when she tries. She just needs to deal with life better making wiser choices instead of her self destructive ways which she seems to have backed away from for now. Thank goodness as I think it would of done me in. She is in a relationship that is going nowhere though - if she doesn't get too hurt from that she may be on her way up. The last abusive relationship she had nearly destroyed her - it was a nightmare.

Will you be doing some more cross stitch today? I am yet to pick up my needle. My side is still hurting and I have never been so physically weak (and I get down as a result). I have to turn this around somehow. I hope your day turns out to be a good one. Give your gorgeous fur baby a hug from me 🤗xx

Re: Over The Edge

@Former-Member I learnt a dear lesson just months ago. I pushed, pulled, read, worked, thought, then, thought some more. That's how I learnt the lesson about...it's not a destination but a journey after all. I fell so hard I thought I'd never recover. I've always worked like there's no tomorrow, a way of finding some sort of approval I think. I came to a grinding halt.... I'm just asking you to take things easy. You have an injury, by the sound of it as severe one, take care. It will affect your mental state as well, it always does. Have to resh off the dog has arrived talk later.

Re: Over The Edge

@Former-Member I hope the movie went well last night.

I was on a roll yesterday when I was posting, but today my thoughts are all over the place, sorry I got interrupted, it will come back sometime.

We had a frost this morning 0 to start odd the day. Some of my pansy seeds are coming through in the small containers, so once they are big enough, they will go all over the garden.

Are you taking any of you plants to your new home?

Whatever you do today, I hope your day goes wellish.

Re: Over The Edge

Good morning @Maggie

We had a relaxing night watching a Disney movie last night. It was fun but the ending neither of us could work out lol. I took some anti-inflammatorys and my side feels a bit more friendly this morning. Wow, 0 degrees - that's cold! The nights are warming up here - only needed one light doona. It's always harder to sleep in the heat though and it's warming too early. Sounds like your weather pattern is more stable and predictable in seasons than ours. That's interesting. I can't wait to visit Tassie.

I did end up going to the shops, felt a bit ordinary but felt better for getting out. I bumped into my friends there and they asked us to take them to the golf resort where we are building and show them around. So that is what we will be doing today. We are picking them up at 11:00 so should be fun. We may go for a beach walk whilst there and grab some lunch. It's a sunny day here so far (the weather can change here in a flash), so hopefully it should be pleasant enough to walk around. I am starting to get excited now.

I did push it abit - I reinsured my side by vacuuming 😬 It's not too bad - I will have to take it much slower. I think I will add new plants in my new home. The developer will be doing a lot of landscaping with beautiful species as part of our contract. So I will probably wait to see how that looks first and add to it. It will be a completely different look to the garden I have now. I will post pics of my backyard for you latter if I can find some good photos. I have a feeling I deleted them.

What are you up to today? Do you still have your friends sisters' dog? Have a lovely day my friend, I will be thinking of you. Will post again soon and let you know how the day went. Sending a warm hug 🤗❤️xx

Re: Over The Edge

I hope the day is going well for you showing friends around your dream plans, and the walk on the beach will be magic.

Yes I do still look after my friends sisters dog, it's going to take a long time for her to get back on her feet. The dogs enjoy me and me them, so all good.

I went for a drive. My friend went to the market, she has a great interest in clothes, always looks a picture.I sit with the girls. We had a coffee while the girls stretched their legs in the park, that I do enjoy, the park I mean.

I'm looking into getting a fence put on the sides of the flat so the girls can't get on the road. Just getting quotes and pics at the moment. They will be safe then and I can let them run out the back without worrying.

The movie sounded interesting..lol...

I think we do have more definite seasons here in Tassie, though the cold can linger. I hope you like the heat,,it sounds like you are in for a hot summer. You will love your visit here I think,it's different.

I don't know what I'll do tonight, there's nothing I like on tv so I might listen to some music and read a bit.

I hope you have a good evening. Warm wishes dear friend.

Re: Over The Edge

Hi @Maggie

The flower and saying was beautiful. Thank you.

The day out at our new home site was just wonderful. The weather was perfect and we walked around the area with our friends and showed them where we were building on the beachfront. They absolutely loved the whole area. We then had lunch over the lake and a great day was had by all.

Sounds like you had a enjoyable day out as well. Finding nice clothes is always a good feeling, I like to look my best also but find it's not easy to find good quality clothes at a reasonable price. Sometimes I manage. Sounds like your friend know where to look. I use to love markets where there was variety - we have a lot up her but it also seems to sell the same stuff now.

The girls will look getting out and stretching their legs. Had any success on finding a suitable fence? Do you live in a unit or villa @Maggie?

I had a really rough night. We can get a lot of noise in our area (thoughtless neighbors), and then my daughter coughed all night and hubby snored. I didn't get much sleep and my physical health has declined. Cannot wait until I move to peace and quiet. That's heaven for me.

I will only manage to get a few things done as a result today. What are you doing today @Maggie? How have you been feeling lately? Thinking of you 🌹

Re: Over The Edge

Hi @Maggie

That is a beautiful picture with lovely words - I believe that the best of all things grows in spite of the trouble in it's way - whatever we survive can give us the tools to become something wonderful

Hi @Former-Member

I tend to like my clothes in subdued colours and without lace or whatever decorating - I wear a lot of polo shirts or long-sleeved shirts I get in the men's wear - they are better quality and cheaper

But then - my underwear is pretty with lacy bras and really bright colours for my undies - after all - I can see them - no one else - but I think I am caching a bright spirit under my dark colours - just cause no one can see the inside doesn't mean it's not there

I go to Rivers a lot. And you are right that it is hard to find good qualitiy clothes at a reasonable price - I would rather have 3 good quality shirts than 6 ordinary ones - they last longer and I feel more satisfied -

And as usual I have a story - I was in the men's wear with a helper - and then I got it - polo shirts - I was distracted from my choice with "What about the green ones, or the orange ones, or the purple ones"

Aw - I had to tell her any shade of blue or black - and came home and looked in my cupboard - and guess what - every shade of blue possible and black -

The thing I had most is the fitting room - I am too close to the mirrors to know if what I am wearing looks okay -

There is a Paddy's Market not far from the Hotel I am staying at in Sydney - and I am determined to buy some clothes in Sydney

It sounds as if you had a rough night - it makes it hard to get stuff done after a bad night - I hope your daughter is feeling better today

Sending some hugs
