@Former-Member in response to your earlier questions that i mustve missed

im glad you like the sound of her colouring. she is quite pretty

16 hands is from the floor to the top if their withers so up further than the shoulders- its kinda hard to explain if you type in measuring a horse on google it should come up where to measure... so if you stood next to the measuring spot or even next to her you wouldnt be abel to see over her back.

yes i can tell your excited- very much so and can share with you the adventures we have together if you want to and yes the job is pretty big, she has to learn to reaccept an onwer and trust them, learn to make sure she lsitens to that person, learn to accept the bridle and saddle again and then eventually accept the weight of a person, then when that happens then its another whole new learning curve to teach them.

so ground work- that being before anyone rides her- may take 6 months or even longer before i even think about attempting to ride her. there is alot of work to eb done but it has to be done slowly and the first and most important step is getting her to accept me and to learn to trust again

Hi @outlander and @eth and @Owlunar and @Former-Member

Outlander those pesky sisters! I only have an older brother but I have a younger stepsister, she only came over every second weekend, but she was so good at winding me up! I remember I would shut and lock my bedroom door and she'd bang on the door and slide rulers and bits of paper under the door. I would have been about your age then and she would have been maybe 8? The good news is they do grow up and everyone moves out eventually and then you see them when you want to only and when you've had enough you just leave!

My outlander I'm sorry you are feeling the way you are feeling today. I hope that you come out on the other side of it soon. Sending you a big warm hug.

I am baking a cake today. It's going to be a banana cake. Once it's done I'll serve you a virtual piece and we can have a coffee and a chat if you like.

You are so brave working with horses! I would be too scared. You must really feel like you can communicate with them? I really admire that you work with horses. I wanted to go horseriding in california earlier this year with mr nooks but there was floods so the ranch was closed.

Re: when is it time for hospital

@Owlunar its already being taken away from me. my joy for this is very quicly fading and its not what i want but it is 😞

i dont want to live like this, it kills me all the time. it haunts me and i dont think itll ever go away. i cant manage it very well at all either. i cnat seem to manage anything

and yes she is a big horse Dec. i have owned bigger though. i had a 16.3hh horse and he was the one that i fell off and nearly done my neck in- the minor injury was the displaced disk and that will stay with me now.

HI @outlander

I used to ride when I was young - I had friends with horses - but I never had to do any work with the horses myself - so training - no - but Dad always told me to let the horse know I was in charge - and with a well-broken horse that's good - that's safe.

I have been riding in adult life and that was a handy thing to know

I really believe that with your own horse life will be better for you - pesky sisters or not - for months now you will be caring for your own horse and this will be a huge thing for you

All the best with it

What's being taken away from you @outlander

The horse or your mood - what's happening?

Re: when is it time for hospital

i wish i could lock them out of my room but unfortunatley i share a room so i cant even do that. i can hardly lock them out of my car for gods sake! @Former-Member

oh eventually ill come out of it though it never seems to end. it only lasts about 15 minutes then it comes back and thats the initial seeing D but thats about it.

ive grown up with them and was riding before i could walk, ive never had the same connection with any other horse beside the one i ahd for 8 years and she was ripped out from under neath me.

look up local horse riding facilities in your area, teres usally a few around and im sure theres some in WA

Re: when is it time for hospital

yes @Owlunar be in charge but its also important to be friends with them- thats what i do anyway i know alot of trainers dont give a crap adn jsut throw a saddle and bridle on and thats it

my sisters are at it again!! i cant take it anymore!

everything is being taken away- My joy, my freedom, space, privacy, happiness, the self worth, and the fading will to be here.

Re: when is it time for hospital

Hi @outlander

I never had that chance to be friends with a horse - as an adult I could hire one for a ride - but they could misbehave - which is probably what you are talking about - but my father taught me to ride and showed me how to be boss - which is tough love after all

I know your life is being stolen from you - how come you can't keep the little b^tch^s out of your car for goodness sake - that is rephrensible - one day one of them might just decide to drive it and who will be in trouble then?

So - it's been a few days since I asked - what are your plans - I think the last it was waiting until your family moves out and you can care for your Pop which will be good

Yes - I had no privacy at home - except my father let my brother and I have the keys to his gun locker when we were older enough to be responsible and our sister couldn't get at things like my microscope and chemistry set. Mostly - she was like the dog eating my homework - if I left anything around she was likely to wreck it -

It sucks that as an adult you don't have any privacy - yeah - I moved into my Gran's room when she went into a nursing home but I still couldn't lock the door

It's a pain in the rear end - I really know and I really care
