@outlander your horse sounds lovely. My boy was bay too and I bred a bay foal out of a white mare once too. Never got to see him grow up though. My Mum sold all my horses when I was in hospital. I really hope she's good to you. Have you ever broken in a horse before?
What has your depression ruined? Can you focus on looking forward to your new adventures with D?

Good Morning Claire![]()
D for Delicious 🙂 I like the horses with black manes and tail, and light brown bodies 🙂 She's about my height, I looked up 16 hands (1.6256 M) and my license says I'm 163cm 🙂 Is that to the shoulders? That's pretty tall for a horse isn't it? 8 years old and never been broken, do you have a bit of a job ahead of you? Can you tell I'm excited that you've got a horse? 😄
I hope she's a bright light in the darkness for you (I'm sure she is!)
Lots of love and hugs to you XxX

I am sure you will truly love and care for her @outlander. Hopefully the new meds will help you feel better when you adjust to them.
I think you made the right decision about not riding today if the weather there is as wet as it is here.

Oh @outlander
I understand you not wanting your Sister to ride in the wet, there are so many practical reasons of health and safety for both her and her horse. I think you've made the right decision.
People want whatever they can get, they can want whatever they like . . . what they get is often quite different. Your Sister is very young and learning that is a long hard lesson. I'm confident your doing your best to help her learn it as gently as possible.
I wonder with your horse, whether they have started on her because they can see how much she means to you; how much your willing to do for her, extra work despite your physical problems and all the extra travel. Perhaps you have impressed them so much, they just want to help?
You absolutely deserve Delicious, as Delicious deserves you. I can't think of a more loving home for her, than within your souls embrace - you have been through bad, which elevates your knowledge of how to be good. I believe you will be good to her, for her and with her![]()

Hi @outlander
That is such good news about your horse - and imo there are more pros than cons - it will give you a great boost having something totally new and totally yours and don't let anyone take that away from you
About your depression - that won't go away in a hurry - it will take time - but grooming and feeding and breaking in a new horse will really give you something precious - and wonderful - to do with your time and help you overcome the obstacles in your life because you have someone to love and who will love you
Sister shitty because she wants to ride in the rain - she will have to learn the world doesn't accommodate her - yeah - let her clean up after her horse - after all - she's already shitty - let her get into some more
I think it's fantastic news - and the depression - well - it's a condition to be managed rather than an illness to be cured - I have found this through my life with reactive depression - it can still haunt me
Lots of hugs and fantastic news
Dec
btw - that's a big horse - and fantasically so - that will build inner strength breaking in and managing that girl - wow

With D, shes old enough to ahve been started already, the other owners jsut couldnt be bothered and then jsut left her here while they moved over to america and left the paddock owners to deal with her. n one knew who i was until the other day when i was offerred her through someone else i knew.
Oh Niqua, honestly i dont know what to say. I want her to have the best loving care she can and she deserves, i just dont know if i can offer her that and i want whats best for her
