@soul the fog lifted a little bit but now its back. not as bad as last night but im really struggling yet again. its so hard to describe. its like a new feeling for me, one i havent had or havent had for a long while. its really confusing and hard and i dont know how to shake it off as such
im trying to do that and put up walls but im not very good at it. everything is so overwhelming right now.
im hotel searching but i have to wait till my wages go in to actually book anything so im stuck at the moment for deposits and things. i really do want to get wawy. what your descirbing- reading a book, lsitening to music, going for walks all in peace is really what im after even for a few days

@outlanderWhen I was doing my DBT course, it was suggested that sometimes just acknowledging how you are feeling, locating in the body where the emotional pain is, and just sitting until the feelings pass, strange as it might seem, can actually be helpful. It's called urge surfing. If I am at risk of SH I can sometimes do this and it works. I am actuallu trying it tonight, and was part of the reason I went for a walk earlier. My emotional pain is always in my chest, and can feel like my heart is being squeezed.
I am up for a general conversaton..whatever you want to talk about. By the way, I always thought your name came from the show, and was surprised today when you explained it. I know @Former-Member calls you Claire sometimes, so doubly confused. The last part of my user name here refers to my occupation. It is the American emergency number.

@outlanderI know I am having a bad night when I have to wait 30 mins for an online support service and get disconnected by them.

@outlanderFirst of all you need to be somewhere quiet and no interruptions. It only takes 5-10mins to do this, but you can go longer if you need to or are having trouble to locate any sensations. Have you got a quiet space for a little bit? Also, if it helps, you can put music on, but something soft and not too intrusive.
