That's a start outlander,I can't bull**** to you but because I my thoughts on being alive are far from positive, just woke up late because I stayed up watching the Manchester Concert which was pretty good, but I had a bad dream before I woke up.Yes dreams are disturbing and do affect your "can do"and are a form of trauma because they seem so real. When I was 19,my father died and the months leading up to his death which was unexpected,my dreams only had my mother in them.Ever since then,my dreams are like my thoughts challenged my psychologist etc who claim their wrong or irrational.... It's me.

Hi @outlander
I can see you have tagged me in here a few times, but I'm not in a position to give an opinion on this. This is a peer support forum, so it's a place to get the opinions of other community members - and it looks like you got a huge variety of responses 🙂
If you want any information on the different options, I would suggest asking your Drs for more details. Contacting the SANE Help Centre could be useful too. They can give you some general information on your different options.
You should be really proud of yourself for identifying that things are getting worse - that can be half the battle for some. You have reached out for the advice of others, and with that information, it seems like the next step is to make a decision on which is the best fit for you. It seems like we've got to a point where the community have shared all they have to share about this, so this might be a good time to reflect on the advice, identify any questions you have for your Drs about the options and take that next step.
All the options have pros and cons - but all of them are a step closer to getting well.
Nik

@outlander I am not in a great headspace myself at the moment. I can hear how overwhelmed you feel. What is one thing you can do today to improve some tiny aspect of your life a tiny bit? For me, I made an appointment with my GP even though both she and I know that all she can do is provide social support for me and she actually has no idea at all how to help me because what I actually need is a competent trauma-informed therapist. So...seeing her isn't going to radically change my life in any way, but doing SOMETHING rather than NOTHING gives me a little sense of empowerment, which is a good thing. So, what one thing can you do today @outlander?
