Re: when is it time for hospital

@outlander,there are a lot of things I can't think about like Father's Day today because I know I can't deal with it.One thing that continually is strong with me is when my Uncle said I was seen as a "joke"when I was a child.I feel like a joke ,it affects me everyday with my low self worth and failures.

You need to visualize a box in your mind and put this trauma in it.Then practice deep breathing for me.💞

@outlander You aren't there now. They can no longer hurt you. They have no power over you anymore. Bring yourself back to the present. Shout if you can, or scream in your mind. Repeat it over and over.

Re: when is it time for hospital

@outlander, what's going to come of this? What could've you've done to prevent this?Nothing is the answer to both and we have all gone through it.Its something that we have to live with, but like when I said no to taking my mother to where my sister wanted her to be after Mum told her her car was playing up,I no longer was going to own it, to make her problem mine.No different to bullying that went on,it's not yours to own.I have to suppress those memories to survive ,I have enough day to day shit...You have to too.

Talk tomorrow.🙋

Re: when is it time for hospital

Sounds like things are getting more distressing for you @Outlander. Can you call a helpline like Beyond Blue 1300 224 636 or Lifeline 131114? Talking through your thoughts and feelings can help shift them.

Take care and keep yourself safe tonight.

@Former-Member
Why do i always havebto let the flashback play the whole way through. That seems like the only way this id going to end.
Tried @Former-Member suggestion of putting it in a box tried @Sans911 suggestion of repeating things
Theg arent working

Why wont it end
Why cant i beat this
Why do i have to have the physical side of things too
Why why why

I can't answer those why questions @outlander. They are not going to help you get through these flashbacks.

Try to accept that you are having a flashback and remind yourself that you are safe now, and that bullying is no longer happening. Then find distracting and relaxing things to do. Take the steps to help yourself get through this.

What did you think about calling a helpline?
