Only you know the situation there @outlander,I just hope you and your mum can be amicable and it doesn't causes a shitfight .It would be good for you to develop trust with a dog and time away,.We can give insights but we can't tell you what to do.

I think that would be a wonderful break for you Claire
A week off the drop-offs and pick-ups from school and to miss the first few days of the holidays, so the excitement may tone-down a little. I also think it would be a good thing for your Mum and her Bf, to face the reality of their responsibilty to your Sisters. They managed when you went into hospital, a couple of times now, they will find a way to manage again. Maybe if you think of it as while your decently informing your Mum what your going to do, you kindly suggest a method that could help them organize the supervision needed for the children in their care. It is sad that this has to be so difficult for you, that you can't just be excited and look forward to it.
Lots of love![]()

I think @Former-Member has the right idea @outlander, however if sh*t hits the proverbial fan, then it will of course be your head on the block. I'm going with the others and say trust your instincts wisely here.

@outlanderI actually second @Former-Member that it would do you the world of good to get away for a couple of weeks. I've said before you are not your sisters keepers; its honourable that you care for them (and your pop too). But in you were not living at home anyway, your mother would have to sort something out herself. Unfortunately, she is not going to take it well at all, but all you can do is say your friend really trusts you and has specially requested you as she has found it difficult to get anyone else. If she starts at you, you will probably need to walk away-and stay away for a bit. And you'll need to be firm with your decision. If you can, tell her life has been really tense of late and you need a break. You're an adult, girl, you are allowed to make your own decisions. If all hell breaks loose, I'll send in the SANE rescue chopper to pluck you out of there. I think you know you have a lot of people from this forum that are beside you, but unfortunately you are the one in the firing line. Best of luck in whatever decision you make.
