Hey @outlander. I haven't been past here for a while but am reading along often.

Did you get put through to the SA service for 1800 respect? The trauma counsellors? I haven't spoken with them for a while (since maybe the start of the year), but I remember once I mentioned SA and the rest of the big bang stuff, they put me through to the trauma specialist counsellors and from there they gave me a number to call through to them. I think it's a different hotline but part of the same service. 1800respect can be a bit hit and miss sometimes, but you could always try again a bit later if you need and maybe the next person might better understand.

It's hard sometimes to reach out and be found with what can feel like a closed door. Sorry to hear they didn't seem to understand it was the flashbacks you're struggling with tonight.

Well the forums are always here.
Can you do some relaxation/meditation before bed?

i didnt get to talk to the specialists. i had to use the phone for that but right now its not a good time so i wrapped up the conversation. ive heard they are really good but didnt realise i ahd to ring them

yeah its frustrating @CheerBear as i was tryign to explain it was the flashbacks not the anxiety but im too tired to reconnect now im hoping for a before 1am bedtime tonight.

thanks for 'checking in'

Re: when is it time for hospital

Oh that makes things tricky @outlander, but it seems like you did the right thing for you in contacting them and then the right thing for you in ending the call because the time wasn't right. If you do call them, from my experience and from the experience of others I know, you can say it's SA related and ask to speak to the 'trauma counsellors'. They helped me lots when I couldn't get to my usual supports.

All of this stuff is so tiring outlander 😞 Things seem to add up and get huge, which makes it so hard to manage. I find that happens with me too.

I watched a really cool video on YouTube tonight. It was a big compilation of cake decorating videos (so random, but so pretty). They were spinning on a cake wheel and being drizzled with icing, making beautiful patterns and things. It was almost hypnotic. This kind of stuff can help me find my calm enough to sleep sometimes.

I hope it eases for you tonight and sleep is restful.

Re: when is it time for hospital

It does make things tricky CB . I hate having a crowded house. If it had of been in the day and i was out and alone i couldve continued the call but I had to leave it there.

I know CB tiring doesn't really begin to cover it does it 😞 but together we can hold hands and pull through ❤

Ive just set my phone up for a guided meditation so hopefully that helps me too.
Love you @CheerBear i know your going through stuff yourself and u being here even just popping un means alot ❤
