I think the reason it's so difficult to speak to your Mother is because she has 'not listened' so many times when you've tired before. You mentioned an Aunty a little while ago, if your Mother does not listen to you, could you go directly to your Aunty and ask if she could help? Are there any child day care places around where you live, perhaps if you mentioned that you need her to pay for her children to be cared for whilst your working your second job, while she's on holiday - she might decide to shorten the trip a little?

Sorry everything costs so much, I say I suffer from 'Rip Van Winkle' syndrome when it comes to the cost of things - I've stayed away from everything so much it's like century's have past and I just can't fathom the cost of things today!

@outlander I'm so sorry to hear of your loss last week. I can only imagine how hard it must be to say goodbye to an animal who is so special to you.

I hear how tough it is for you to have a voice around your mum. It sounds very important to be able to share that conversation with her though. I wonder if you could write her a letter if it's physically to hard to get the words out?

Maybe talking about her on the forums will help in some small way, you're voice matters and I'm sending you lots of support and encourgament to use it 🙂

@outlander,when I read this afternoon your vet bill amount I said the "f" word out loud.I knew it would cost,it was on a weekend when you got the vet and a night and I know how they charge.Thats why it's hard when they get sick, because some vets just drain the money out of you,and they know you are blinded by love for that animal.My niece continuously is paying vet bills off for horses.And they should have payment plans,as you are a good customer .They charge ridiculous for drugs,just one syringe antibiotic for my cat years ago was 60 or so dollars.

As for your friends horse,just take it as it comes,but it shows what a strong and good person you are,and a good friend.
