Thanks Niqueeta1

Sounds like you have a family of some sort of you are going to a birthday breakfast. Its hard families, but try and hang on to it outlander,as once it is gone it's gone.Hope it goes OK.Try and consider centrelink etc it must be taking a toll paying for some cost, especially if you aren't happy with the service they provided.

the day started off good, brekkie was good and then i went and seen my horse for a while which was nice but while i was there,
i was talking to a friend of mine and told her about the day i went into hospital, and what happened that day- all the msgs that were sent to me telling me to come home and i had to come home because everyone was relying one me etc etc and it actually made me sick. i was physically throwing up and still heaving for a long while after it.

I think the only thing wrong with you is that your Human @outlander We're not bullet proof and we're not bully proof and in a way your family is bullying you. No I don't think you should be over it by now, I think it may take a long time. And you have had the gastro thing, which I don't think would be helping.

Try not to think about it now, probably easier said than done. Try to rest your mind and just enjoy the here and now (on magical forum land :))

Re: when is it time for hospital

Hey @outlander ,

I have been struggling a lot lately and turned to reading a book called "The Idiot Brain" by Dean Burnett and thought I might share some of it with you. It is really interesting.

So technically. The brain performs serious mental gymnastics to avoid feeling sorry for victims of those who are mentally ill, and another possible manufaction of this is the labelling of those who end their lives as "selfish". It's a bitterly ironic coincudence that one of the most common factors leading to sucide is clinical depression, as people with it are also reguarlt labelled as "selfish", "lazy", or with other disparaging adjectives. This may be the brain's egocentric self defence kicking in ;; acknowledging a mood disorder so severe that ending it all is an acceptable solution technically means acknowledging, at some level, that it might happen to you. An unpleasant thought. But if someone's just self-indulgent or calloudly selfish, that's their problem. It wont happen to you (them), and thus they get to feel better about themselves.

Another explanation is simply that people are ignorant jerks. Depression is a genuine and serious problem that deserves empathy and respect, not dismissal and scorn.

The people demanding that thise with depression alter their thinking while refusing to do the same in the face of the evidence are showing just how hard it is. It is a terrible shame that those (us) who are suffering the most get made to feel worse because of it.

Its bad enough when you've got your own brain conspiring against you so severely. To have other people's doing it too, that's just obscene.

Thanks for sharing that with us @Former-Member. I found it really interesting stuff and helps make sense of other people's opinions and actions.
