Re: when is it time for hospital

Great news @outlander. Good to hear you got your dose of equine therapy this morning. You amaze me with all that you get done in a day.

Truly hope your appointment goes ok for you. It's good to get your wounds attended to and cleaned and dressed. Thanks for doing it for me 🙂

Re: when is it time for hospital

Hi @Former-Member good to meet you. Looks like you made the right decision about that bloke. I always look out for the "red flags" now and find it soooo hard to trust. Can't see myself in another relationship ever.

I have bad scars on my wrists from putting my hands through french doors when trying to get away from someone - so not deliberate - I usually keep them covered too as most people assume it's from a s attempt.

@outlander this is one of the reasons I'm so concerned about what you do to yourself. I don't want you to have to live with the stigma.

Re: when is it time for hospital

Hi @outlander

So sorry I didn't get back to you - I was super-busy yesterday

But I thought about you a lot and I have to say this

You are making a bad choice by not telling someone - anyone - about being abused - possibly your mother is not the best person - but you are seeing a doctor soon and I just pray you open up about the abuse you experienced in the past

I really hate it that you SH'd - that is so bad - it sounds like you nearly went to far

If you keep going this way you will find you do have your choices taken away completely - and yes - you will be in hospital - so please open up with your doctor at least and tell the truth

You didn't cause the abuse - whoever did the act is at fault - not you - so please - tell someone

Re: when is it time for hospital

Sounds like you went through it eth I'm glad I never gave myself to him and know whatever in life not to ignore doubts because there's a reason . He suffered a brain injury from a car accident but I believe he has a history of violence.I seem to attract these men and I am trying to find a reason to live so I don't need that either. The scars on your wrist I would see as "survival sounds"you survived.

Hope things go well at appointment outlander.

Re: when is it time for hospital

It sounds as if you have been through the mill too @Former-Member

I went out with a guy for a while - and while he was not abusive he did smoke a lot of green stuff and this used to bother me and bore me and I often went home

He's had a brain operation after a motor bike accident - and I could tell he had deficiencies - and he had lost some language skills and I had done linguistics as part of my degree and so he picked up a lot of what he had lost in that department

And I put his need to smoke and go to sleep as part of that - but as time passed I realised that he had a character flaw - and in time I broke up with him

I get what you are saying I think - you gave someone space because of a head injury - but whether that caused him to be violent isn't an excuse - and I do understand your writing his behaviour off to that

I am glad you got out of it - btw - I was never in danger with this guy and never lived with him - but still - there are ways of making a woman miserable without hurting them physically

I am quite a lot older than you I think - but I have not been interested in another relationship - had enough with men thinking I was less than them - wow - I do understand your not wanting another relationship

And that's not so bad - truly - from experience I have found it to be liberating

Re: when is it time for hospital

Actually I am very glad to hear this - I knew it was going to happen by reading your story -

I kept up with your story even when I didn't have time to start posting - I felt I would have to tell you about the abuse - and you do - because until you do no one can help with it - and it's like and infection - it just keeps getting worse

Okay - let's keep the messages short - I will be in touch later -
