Don't be too hard on yourself there @Determined! I'm sure you would have needed that bit of rest and it was well deserved! The washing will still be there when your ready

If you caught up on some rest @Determined, then that was an effective use of time!!

Put bun in the stroller out at the clothesline while you hang the washing. If the pegs are safe for him to play with, peg a couple onto his clothing, or the stroller, and watch him try to work out what to do with them.

I used to keep a Duplo bucket full of bits and pieces from around the house - a peg, a teaspoon, a tea strainer, a sponge, a rubber duck, a sink plug, cellophane in a net veggie bag, toy keys, a sock tied into a knot, a feather (cleaned), sea shells (big and sturdy so small pieces couldn't break off in their mouth) and give it to the baby in the play pen or stroller when I had to do something like make a phone call or hang washing. They only got the Treasure Bucket when I needed them distracted, so it was like a treat. Then I had to use food as an exchange to get it back .... lol .... like half-peeling a banana and taking away the Treasure Bucket while they worked out what to do with the half-peeled banana ......

Don't feel any better for the rest @soul @Former-Member, just more stressed about what needs to be done.

Told my darling earlier that I would not be down tonight, worries me how indifferent I feel about not seeing her. She seemed more concerned about the fact that I would not be bringing her tablet so she can upload her trainer bike ride to strava app.

Don't feel too bad about it @Determined. A little break might be a good thing.

Awesome! just wonderful...

Just got a call from the Principle... S2 just got into a fight with some girls.

I know he is having a hard time at the moment but there is no way I am going to accept or justify kicking and hitting girls. Over it.

Cant say I am even surprised after the attitude he gave me this morning.

Deep breaths @Determined. You're not having a very good week. Perhaps you need to get rid of that display pic. It's becoming a self fulfilling prophesy.
