Going to try and sleep now (I should be so lucky)

Trust you can get some rest also, thanks for chatting. It helps a lot :face_with_rolling_eyes:

I've scheduled a massage for myself this week so that will hopefully provide some therapeutic benefit. I find it encouraging to have something to look forward to no matter how trivial it may be @Determined

ooo a massage sounds lilke a good idea @soul
I have been thinking about going back to the chiroprac that I was supposed to do at the start of the year but noticed they now have a massage thearapist, had actually been thinking that may do better for me short term. Definatly going back to the chiro when I am not spending so much time in the car or in front of the computer.

Did you get some rest last night? I actually managed to get in 4 or 5 hours which is an improvement.
(At the very least I was blissfully unaware of my surrondings for 4 or 5 hours)
Trying hard now to get some work done before the little people rise and start all their demands .

Thanks @Faith-and-Hope

Talking to my darling at the moment before she goes into her next round of treatmet .
Wishing they would let me be there with here before and after, would make it so much easer for both of us.

You might find a quiet moment to ask a nurse about that at some time .... I am guessing it hasn't worked well for more people than it has worked well for, and that must be distressing and difficult for everyone concerned, including the staff,

They will be erring on the side of caution for a reason, I'm sure ..... just so tough that it doesn't work so well for you two .....

🤗

It has to be approved by the dr @Faith-and-Hope
When we were first talking about the treatment at the start of the year he said it may be possible,
After darling was admitted to begin treatment it was a flat out NO!

In my opinion he basically lied in order to convince us 😞
There was the lame excuse that loved ones can find it distressing and that the patient is unaware anyway.
What a crock, my darling was very aware Wednesday morning that she was away from home and lonely and quite distressed about it. me being there and being able to hug her would have helped immensely. I am at least thankful that we are able to talk on the phone before and after when she is able. talking before hand is a big help for both of us.

There is no doubt that I would find it hard, but not nearly as hard as not knowing how she was or in our case having her on the phone in distress and not being able to hold her.

My desire to be included often (by my percepion) often seems to be percieved as a (negative) control issue I think is the biggest problem.

I have been maligned in our situation @Determined .... I can relate.

It's my hubby who is controlling, a major aspect of his undetected illness, but this has been presented as me being jealous of his "successful life change" and trying to undermine it .... and that I have become self-serving, abandoning care of my home and adult children .... it is only time and the ongoing development of my hubby's illness that will validate me in the longer term, unfortunately ....

Part of the carer's lot appears to be living between a rock and a hard place ..... and yet we wouldn't not do it, would we ? It's an enigma .....
