The Weekly Friday Feast

The Weekly Friday Feast

Thank goodness it's Friday (or TGIF as some say!)

We thought we would start a thread where we could come together every Friday and "share a meal" and debrief about our week.

To participate, there are 2 requirements -

1) Bring a (virtual) plate of food

2) Bring a topic of discussion

So pull up a virtual chair, post a picture or description of what (virtual) dish you're bringing along and say hi and let us know how your week was.

Looking forward to seeing you at our first Friday Feast!

Chat soon 🙂

Lol @ Chai maker. Yes, that's it. Perfect description. I remember reading it for the first time & I was like wow, this is so it! It was a beautiful book.
Yes I was lucky to have met her, she was my second mum in Japan! I lost touch, we did write. Such a nice lady.
And Japanese food...Ohhh yum! 😊
@Former-Member....yummm. I love soy caramalatte. Mmm

Swish swish around inside me ... the coffee tides come & go

I do do

"I'm a little tea-pot short & stout"

Except I am tall & stout.

Yeah someones gotta do the shopping @Former-Member ... bloody hard and boring work ..

but I never believed I was born to shop ... and I always thought it took to tango.

@BlueBay

Do you remember seeing scenes in various Hollywood movies where kids under 15 fix their own dinners.

You dont have any more really little kids at home do you ... ones that are actually minors?

I figure if they are over 18, mothers no longer have the obligation to prepare a nightly meal 24/7 .. 52 weeks per year. If there is fruit in fruit bowl and salad stuff in the fridge .. nobody will die of starvation.

Mind you my bark is worse than my bite ... but i do opt out of cooking occasionally

Ah right. From your story it seemed there was an undercurrent of a stronger bond than just tutoring. What a awesome experience for you. And for her too! @Former-Member

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Thanks for leaving us with all those treats @Former-Member (least you could do for mentioning it was a macadamia caramel slice, no less!) Rest up and will catch you later. I might do likewise.

Oh seriously @Former-Member, treats are a must. Glad u did. Especially when emotions are raw .
I made a peppermint slice with love for my boy but hmmm it's different!!
Just sampled, it tastes good. Just not what I thought I was making as silly as it sounds.
I honestly don't know where my head is sometimes! 🙊☺

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Good evening @Jacques

That looks like a hearty meal. Have seen a few posts tonight commenting on the rain. It hasn't hit the Blue Mountains yet. But the day did turn from sunny to grey before the sunset. It's cold again. But I am very much enjoying the springtime blossoms. There's a hint of warmth in the air again. Managed to sit and eat my lunch in the sun, which was a treat.

I made dahl tonight, so I thought I'd share it round. Perhaps @Former-Member might like some - it's vegan. It's always a good meal to make when there's not much in the cupboard.

Who else around tonight? @Former-Member @Former-Member@Former-Member @Shaz51 @BlueBay @Appleblossom @Yellowbright.

Haven't seen @Crazy_Bug_Lady or @Former-Member for a while (sorry if I missed you elsewhere around the forums). I wonder if they're about tonight?
