The Weekly Friday Feast

Thank goodness it's Friday (or TGIF as some say!)

We thought we would start a thread where we could come together every Friday and "share a meal" and debrief about our week.

To participate, there are 2 requirements -

1) Bring a (virtual) plate of food

2) Bring a topic of discussion

So pull up a virtual chair, post a picture or description of what (virtual) dish you're bringing along and say hi and let us know how your week was.

Looking forward to seeing you at our first Friday Feast!

@Angels333, sounds like you had fun, hope everyone had a good time. Got there tonight and there was a large group having a bowling birthday party & after they left a group of teens came in for a bowl. They all looked like they were having a great time.

It's quite good when you can just bowl for the fun of it.

Ca'nt believe I missed out !

My neighbour...another one,,,, had an emergency and we took him to hospital. He is better now....he hadnt taken his medication for 5 days and he was SICK.

I missed Friday Feast!!
I was up at the farm most of yesterday. We were washing the cattle for the show today, then had pizza and a drink to celebrate.
I had my first show today with my heifer!! We had a few problems which rattled me, but by the time we were in the ring we were settled and did well.

I got first in my class!!!
I'll put up a pic later.

She had a bad trip on the trailer, kept sticking a leg out. By the time we got to the show she was very sore (which was upsetting), and then she threw herself over a fence when I was trying to wash her, which was the last straw for me. Got her back to where we were tied, then went and cried.
I just felt so bad. My baby trusts me, and all I'd done was hurt her.

But we went into our handler class (I didn't place, I didn't expect to tho) and she was so good.

Then we went to our heifer class. Admittedly there was just her and one of our other girls. But she got the blue!

We're almost home. Thank goodness. Unload the animals, get them settled. Then unpack the cars.

Then home for a loooong shower. So tired.

Oh no @Crazy_Bug_Lady, she was prbably nervous too, being her fist show, i know how hard it can be to get them to settle while washing them, anyway i am sure she will recover now that she is home, she will be fine @Crazy_Bug_Lady, i know what it is like though, becomming so close to the animals.

but she sounds like she loves you, if she was so good in the Heifer class. she trusts you 🙂

Gosh it has been a really big day, i hope you get unpacked quickly. maybe treat yourself tonight to some take away, you will be to buggered to cook 😄

@Crazy_Bug_Lady Yes!! Creamy pasta goodness. I see some similarities between our comfort food. Nothing beats a hearty pasta meal.

Why is comfort food typically so rich and heavy? How you been anyway? What's news?
