14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Re: 14th year house bound

Welcome to the forum. I think there are a lot of us here who are housebound so you arent alone here.

I posted in this forum about what I'm doing to improve my health. You might like to try doing a technique called "Faster E.F.T". You can do an online search for that. That will help you with your various anxiety issues.

I know what being housebound feels like. You're welcome to compare notes. There are others here who know what you're going through.

Hi Denv12

Thank you for the information, I will look into it. Being house bound sure would be better than having to sit in the car for hours. I'm just so over it.

Thanks

Karen

Hi Jacques

How are you this morning. I hope your wrist isn't to bad and you managed to get some sleep.

I will save a big bit of cake for you and some sausage rolls.

Do you have much planned with your day, or taking it easy after the busy day yesterday.

I'm thinking of you

Take care

Karen

Hi Karen. You are most welcome. I hope you're okay.

I spent a lot of money doing things various things to be healthier. Anything to do with chiropractors and Kinesiologists who do muscle testing techniques is a good thing. Acupressure is good too. There are websites and books that show diagrams for various ailments.Simple as rubbing various pressure points makes you feel better. I use "Faster E.F.T" in my daily life so thats even better for looking after ourselves. You can use it daily and the results are very good.

Regards Chris.

Re: 14th year house bound

Thanks Chris

My treating team have told me that I need to accept the symptoms. I don't find accepting that I have to be in my car for hours on end just to feel safe.

Triggering multiple times a day causing anxiety chest pains, hard to breathe, shaking, memory loss, dissociate, and then there is the fatigue, racing thoughts, the suicidal stuff, sh, I don't understand what is happening to me I'm overwhelmed all the time. But to accept all these symptoms and more is giving up.

I will look into EFT

Take care

Karen

Re: 14th year house bound

Good morning, my angel,

Make sure you take regular breaks from the party, ooohhh yum cake and sausage rolled, I am in heaven!!!!

Today I am just tidying up from yesterday and sorting out my tools. Oh the joy of OCD!!!

Yes Karen I did sleep OK, woke up a few times in a panic, but not too bad.

Karen reach out to life line or me if you need some support, I avoid birthdays, I have not been to my own mothers birthday for several years, I just can't seem to handle the groups of people. You are so strong Karen, I wish I could do what you do.

Take care my angel
