14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Re: 14th year house bound

As usual Jacques you are right. It is definitely better to do everything in one go and deal with the effects.

I will do that with the house write detailed notes and go to bunnings once a week instead of making lots of small trips.

Goodnight my friend I'm having an early night.

I'll close my eyes tonight thinking how lucky I am to have great support.

A full tummy from the cake and I can smell the beautiful aroma of the red roses.

Wishing you a peaceful sleep.

Yes, good on you Karen, bunnings once a week, i go of a sunday, seems to be quieter in the afternoon, get all i can and go.

Have a peaceful night my angel, you haveearned it tonight.

Yes don't fret too much about the aching muscles, i get that a lot, it is from tensing up from the anxiety, mum sometimes comments how rigid i am when we are out, everything is tense, when i get home i release, feel exhausted. i know what you are going through.

I am glad you feel you are getting support from me and others, i am so honoured to have you as my friend, as my guardian angel, and as a fantastic support when i am vulnerable.

Enjoy the cake, and i hope the roses last a few days,

Goodnight my angel

Congratulations @hiddenite on wonderful accomplishments of getting glittery girls on stage and the house.

Thanks guys for the support I can't believe it either. Maybe tomorrow when I have the keys it will sink in.

Hi Jacques

It's a beautiful sunny day. We made a birthday cake in the shape of a love heart, and been for a bike ride, and the park. The girls have had a great day. I'm exhausted.

I hope you have managed some time in the garden.

Congratulations on fixing the doors will make life that little more easier.

I'm pretty nervous about tomorrow not only will I own a home but I won't have the comfort of having much money behind me. That's really scary

Take care

Karen

Hi @Former-Member,

Thank you, i feel very privileged to have been allowed onto this forum and met so many fantastic people and moderators, i sometimes feel i take advantage sometimes and sometimes say the wrong things, but maybe this is my anxiety talking.

I am so happy to have received and been given help from so many peole, it is nice to have some contact with the outside world, this forum is all i have, this is the only contact i have with people, i would never be able to speak to people face-to-face, but it is nice to be able towrite what i am thinking and have others comment on whether i am right or wrong.

My social skills have diminished somewhat from being housebound for so long, and i sometimes struggle to understand what people mean, and struggle to know if what i am saying makes any sense.

i have spent so long just focusing on my own mind, with no human interaction at all, i sometimes feel like none of this is real, like everyone is just a mirage. like i am not alive, just drifting though life blisfully unaware no one can here me. do i make any sense?

Anyway thank you @Former-Member and everyone else for speaking to me, i feel so honoured to have you in my life.

Hi Jacques

Sorry I haven't been around I'm finding things very overwhelming at the moment. Having to deal with real estate agent, conveyor, and other services. It's just too much.

The people have left the house in such a mess I am horrified, it makes me I'll just trying clean up after them. My ocd is making it so difficult. I would just like to sit and cry.

My hands are raw from washing them so much.

I think I've made a huge mistake.

I hope your house 're wiring is going ok, remember it's only a couple of days.

Take care my friend thinking of you

Karen
