14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Hi @Jacques

Hope you are doing ok today, I know you must be really worried about Karen by now. I'm also hoping that she is ok too. She had a big day yesterday, and it would have abeen a huge day for her girls too. She might be busy with the girls today.

Thinking of you both,

LJ

Hi Jacques

Sorry I haven't posted earlier I'm emotionally and physically worn out.

It was a big day yesterday and even the girls were really emotional today. The late night didn't help.

They were both wonderful no costume malfunction. Glad about that. I helped with the make up getting everyone dressed and glitter spray. I was covered in glitter by the time I finished.

Thinking of you J

Thank you @Former-Member,

I am going good today, a little tired but that is all, spent the day gardening and looking at the farm animals, the pig is back into her mud baths, she is muddy from head to tail, she looks so proud of herself too....

Yes I am really worried about Karen, when she goes quiet their is something wrong, I just feel so helpless, I know she really pushed herself last night, I just hope she didn't push it too much.

Thank you @Former-Member, what did you and the little ones get up to today?

Jacques

Hi @hiddenite

Very glad to hear that the girls had a great night last night! And yes.. glitter goes everywhere... I hate using it lol.. i always seem to still be finding it in my hair a week later lol.. (i think that's why i usually teach older children in fact!! less glitter!!)

Hope you were able to have some down time today iwth the girls. I can relate.. It was my daughters birthday yesterday and any thing out of the usual leads to very overstimulated, excited and emotional kids! So today we had some busy time outside at the playground to run off some of the anxiety (especially for my little boy because he gets really aggressive and angry when things are out of routine.. and he's been feeling like hes missing out on something because it was his sisters bday and not his!). followed by some quiet time. then busy time again out to the shops. followed by another semi quiet time watching a movie! We also got an icecream freddo frog cake (as that's our tradition for birthdays!! a home made cake on the day then a freddo frog icecream cake with friends - except no friends this year, i couldnt handle it! doh)...

Be gentle with yourself too, you got through a massive week, I'm really proud of you! Reward yourself some how this weekend or early next week! and hope you feel proud of yourself too,

LJ

Thanks Jacques

Yes I was quite a sight covered in gold glitter even my shoes sparkled. The children were so great.

I was so overwhelmed during the concert they had made a mistake with the tickets and I was sitting away from my family. Had to sit next to a huge man and there was another in front of me. At one stage I thought I was going to pass out. I feel so small in crowds and I could only just see the girls dancing.

I had final inspection on the house yesterday. I was a bit disappointed that they hadn't cleared all the rubbish from around the house and underneath.

I had to call the conveyor 6 times trying to get the break down of money. At 2:40 I got the information I needed. So I ran to the bank and they said all the systems were down. I was so panicked that the bank manager would manually do the seven bank cheques.

I left ran back to the car . Picked the girls up from school, I had to get the cheques there by 4:30. dropped the girls with mum and drove straight to the conveyor. I made it with 10 minutes to spare.

Drove home picked up the girls and went straight to the production.

I also rang to make sure the electricity would be connected.

And went and got myself a post office box.

So you can probably tell I really over did it.

You know me too well Jacques things aren't good when I'm quiet.

I'm glad you spent some time in the garden.

The pig sounds like he's enjoying the mud.

My anxiety levels are still quite high. You know j what it's like after a big day.

Thanks for caring

Karen

Wow Karen,

I'm triple proud of you! What a lot to do.. and all of that would be stressful for ANYONE! buying a house and sorting all of that out on your own is difficult enough even for someone without anxiety 🙂 And best thing is its all done now!

Well done!

Re: 14th year house bound

Oh My Goodness, Karen!!!!!!

You are unreal, i can't believe you managed all that yesterday, oh boy no wonder you are so worn out, i am super proud of you now, i told you doing it all at once, you only get the one big panic attack....

you where sitting next to two men too, oh my Karen, i can't stop telling you how proud i am of you, well no wonder you feel so short in a crowed, you are short!!!!

Karen, the future looks so much brighter for you, you are doing more, pushing yourself, fighting the Anxiety, depression and PTSD, yes you will get tired, yes you will have some bad moments, but on the most you will be getting better from here on.

I can't tell you how i am feeling, i am excited, happy, and tearful all at once, you have done so well... you have come a long way Karen, remember when we first met? you could not even leave the car to do anything, you where a shell of a person, broken, now you are slowly peicing yourself back together again, remember you are doing this, the girls must be so proud to see their mum fighting the odds.

Karen we must celebrate. i remember you saying you love red roses so here you go, and some cake for everyone.

Hi lj
Thanks for thinking of me.

Birthdays sure are a big day.
It's my youngest birthday on Tuesday she also wants a fredo frog ice cream cake.

My daughter also becomes aggressive very easily which causes me to trigger.

Every muscle in my body is hurting today must be from being so anxious for such a long period of time.

It would be good if the rain would stop and we could have a sunny day. It's hard on everyone being stuck inside.
I've started a new jigsaw puzzle with the girls. We were also coloring in Mandalay.

Take care lj

Wow Jacques

That's so thoughtful thank you.....

I know who would have thought that on Monday I will be officially a home owner....that's really scary.

Thanks about being small J. I would love to see you in a crowd of 1000 people on you knees

It's truly frightening 🙂

But I did it.....

Next to renovate a house

And take on centerline to prove that I've always had the girls in my care.

Jacques I feel so special getting gifts. Thank you

Karen

Feel free to have some cake I like to share:-)
