14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Re: 14th year house bound

oh no Kare that is a shame, i do hope the girls manage to fill in their day.

oh what a shame about your parents, my father was the same, he could see no value in games. they have come such a long way, they are easy to setup, the girls would probably be able to set it up in 5 seconds, lol

it is a shame though it would jeep them active for hours, they would be exhausted before the game would.

i am ok, getting a little tired now, only a few thibgs left to do, so i ahould be finished in the next 40min or so, we are just about to get rain.

yes i do seem to have hightened emotions since i have been unable to sleep. maybe you could give me some coping tips?

i am here if you want to chat my angel, anytime 🙂

Hey Jacques hopefully you'll be having a rest by now. It's still raining here and the girls are so bored. I think we've done all the activities I can think off. So they are watching a DVD. Cloudy with a chance of meatballs.

Sounds really weird

Talk to you later

Re: 14th year house bound

Hi My angel,

I have just got up, the longest rest was 10 min, so their was no point trying to rest

Oh you poor thing, yes it is very hard to keep kids occupied when it is raining. Wow the title sounds interesting, and tasty!!!!!!!

Well i hope the movie is going well, i can't think of anything they can do, i have not been around children so i don't know many activities.

Maybe other mothers can offer some help here?

Take care my angel.

Oh Jacques I'm sorry you didn't get much of a rest you must be exhausted. Maybe listening to some music might help to give your mind a break.

I'm not sure what to suggest for the mood swings Jacques I try to just accept them for what they are and realise that they will change. It is a lot harder to manage them when sleep deprived.

I hope you are being kind to yourself today j.

Re: 14th year house bound

No nap for me the girls have been extra clingy today and they won't let me out of their sight. We've had lots of hugs and cuddles though. It's like they are taking all the energy I have.

So exhausted.

Last night I fell asleep with the tv on and the tablet next to me in bed. So you really were with me last night j:-)

You must be cooking dinner I hope it's nice, spaghetti here tonight.

Re: 14th year house bound

Oh that is nice KAren, it is nice to feel loved, you are so lucky to have your two girls, i have not got anyone to hug.

Karen try to see it a different light, they are giving you positive energy, they love you very much, please remember this when they throw a tantrum.

Oh Karen, i am so sorry you are so exhaused, it know how tough it is, i hope you manage an early night. Please don't feel you need to stay up late to talk to me, i know your thoughts are with me.

Well, i hope i was able to protect you more being right next to you , yes i have done that sometimes, watching tv and wake up at 1 or 2 am to find i have left everything on.

Yes Sausages, mash potatoe and boiled cabbage tonight. Ooooh spagetti i will have a big bowl please with a piece of garlic bread.

Oh yes kids are good at sapping energy!! My lil boy was driving me crazy today!! I tell you it's lucky I love him so much!
I have to empty our old house and organise storage for our things in the next two weeks... Honestly the thought makes me exhausted!
Life!!!!!!
Hope it's not raining tomorrow so you can let the girls go run off some energy outside.
