14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Re: 14th year house bound

It's just the small things like your feet not hanging out of the bed that makes you appreciate stuff.

Jacques thats how I ended up addicted to sugary drinks. Th lack of sleep was so awful I couldn't function during the day and I am too scared to sleep at night because of the night terrors. I wake shaking all over not knowing where I am feeling really unsafe and all the bday things are still happening.

Now when I wake I try to think of you holding my hand and protecting me. Your my knight in shining armour. There to protect. I hope you don't mind Jacques. But I've never had a best friend or someone who cares for me.

It just one way to remind me I am safe.

oh yes this is my first bed in 20 years. it is so nice, being in poverty does make me appreciate everything i have now.

yes i know the feeling, scared to be awake, too scared to sleep, i am lucky i can sleep anytime, i feel for you, because you have the girls, you don't get a chance to sleep. maybe try to sleep in the car when you get the chance.

you have almost made me cry Karen, that is so beautiful, if we ever met in real life, i would protect you, i would let nothing bad ever happen to you. you are my best friend, the only person i talk to every day, i am not even this close to any family members as i am to you.

Karen, i care so much for you, i feel you are so special to me, i am so glad you see me as a protector.

i woke the other morning after a panic attack and could almost feel you squeezing my hand, i felt so safe.

I'm glad you don't mind Jacques. I know when you are with me my nights are a little bit easier to manage the dark stuff.I've never had anyone say such kind words, thoughtful and caring.

I see you with me some nights helping me protect myself from him. Or telling me it's only a dream and I am safe with you.

If we ever met I would give you the biggest hug. And convince you what an important part of society you are.I don't think I could ever let go Jacques you mean everything to me. You are the moon and the stars....

Karen you are so sweet, thank you, i am glad holing my hand makes your nights a little easier, and i oknow he can't harm you now, i know you are safe, i just need to convince you that you are safe, it will take a long time, it has been 14 years since my torture and i am still triggered, it still affects me everyday, but the memories do subside, even if they never go away.

Karen you are the most beautiful person i have ever met, your caring and protective nature shows you are an amazing person, a loving caring soul. your girls are lucky to have you, and i am really lucky to have you accept me as your friend, i feel like a VIP when i am speaking to you.

Karen i will one day convince you that you deserve love, deserve care and deserve respect.

Karen all that you have been through i can't believe yoou are still here, so many women are attacked once and have their lives changed forever, how you survived for so long, and still care for your precious two still astounds me, let alone manage to care for me too.

Thank you Karen for just being you.

Re: 14th year house bound

yes i know what it is like my angel, i do hope you manage soem more rest today at some point.

Oh no Karen, what a shame for the girls, it would have been nice for them to have a nice few days at the park. maybe they should make a cubby house in thier rooms or something, i really wish you would think about the nintendo WII, they have great game consoles out now where their are no controllers, just a camera, the girls can jump and dance, to music and win points in the game, it would be wonderful for them on days like today.

Well i am hoping for a quiet day, i am going to wash the bins out, clean the toilet and do some work in the shed, i will have my phone with me so message anytime and i shoudl get it and be able to respond.

Thinking of you too my angel.

Re: 14th year house bound

Hi Jacques

It's raining and cold here today.

My parents don't agree with those games so while we are here I am unable to get one. Maybe when we move I can get one for the girls. I probably wouldn't be able to set it up.

I hope you are ok I know how exhausted you will be.

It's hard to see the positives when so tired, the smallest thing brings you down.

I hope you get to rest later. Take care Jacques
