14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

That the problem for me Jacques with the suicide ideation, and sh. I really am unable to trust my judgment.

I'm scared of my thoughts and actions. When do you become too unwell to make right choices?

I don't know who to trust.

I trust you Jacques but unfortunately you can't advocate for me.

I don't trust anyone else.

Karen, i think when you get to the point of being scared of yourself. when your unable to control your feelings of SI & SH, it is time to get some professional help.

I know it is a hard decision, i know it is traumatic, but their has to be a non SI solution, you are a wonderful person Karen, you do deserve to be alive, do deserve to be loved and do deserve to be respected.

Karen, i have found that trusting people for me is a non-issue, i can't trust anyone, so i try to make the decisions that are in my best long term interest.

I wish their where more i could do. i know i can't help you directly but i am hoping just being here for you will be a bit of a help

It's just I see you fight everyday Jacques with SI and sh I think if you can do it without the help of medication and psychologist and psychiatrist so should I.

I want to be as strong as you and fight it myself.

Oh Karen,

But i do take medication, i am not as strong as you think my angel, i very rarly leave the house, so i don't have many triggers, i can't answer the phone, go into most shops, do many normal things most people do, Karen everyone's situation is unique, you know that, try not to think just because i am unable to see a psych that i am strong, i am weak because i am to frightened to reach out for help.

Karen, you are the strong one, you go to your psych appointments, live a fairly normal life with your girls, Karen i really wish you could see how strong you really are.

I only do those things because I have no other choice. If it wasn't for the girls I would spend every day in my car.

What are you up to tonight Jacques?

Other than listening to me winging:-)

Karen, my angel, it is your decision if you do not want their help, but please remember and ask yourself, do they have my best interest at heart?, can they make things better? maybe even write a list when you are feeling ok and write down the pro's and con's of treatment.

Karen, i do hoope you do not have a view of me as someone who is coping really well, it is quite the opposite, i am not coping, things are progressively getting worse as the years go on, i think i put on a brave face for you and others here my angel.

please see me as someone like yourself who is struggling and making it day to day anywhay i can.

i understand Karen, i think you understand why i am at home all the time, i have no reason to leave. i have no life, i have no one, and nothing to look forward too, i am just trying to fill in time until i die.

Karen, you are not whinging, just thinking out loud. i am glad you do this because it makes me think too.

Tonight, well i feel terrible, i have SH again and am unwell because of it. i have bad chest pains and a big headachhe. i am watching a 007 movie and chatting to you, i am adgitated and mum is leaving me alone, she knows to leave me alone when i am like this.

Jacques I fully understand how dark things are for you. That getting through another hour when you don't want to is such a battle.

I also understand the despair you feel watching yourself deteriorate.

The mayhem that leads up to you sh every day.

I truly get that you get through another day any way you can, like the rest of us.

All this is why you u nderstand me so well.
