14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

OMG Karen, i hope you and the girls have a nice 4 days, are you doing anything for the Melbourne cup?

Mum and i usually have a cheese platter, but i don't think i can this year, a bit short on money.

i do hope you get some nice weather, it will do you and the girls good to get outside, remember focus on the wild life and not on the people.

No we don't do anything for the cup it's just another day.

The girls are in bed and I went to go to my bed and my youngest daughter has put my teddy in bed for me.it wears a t-shirt that says special mum.

Hi My angel,

I think you will be asleep now, at least i hope so, i do hope you are holding teddy close, (and not wrestling him )

Karen by the things your girls say and do, you mean the world to them, just as you are, you are their mum, no one can replace you, not even grandparents, their is a love, a bond that mothers have with their children that can't be replaced by anyone else. seeing how the girls protect you, and do special things for you shows how much they care for you, they may get frustrated, but it is not aimed at you, it is just you are the closest person to you.

Karen they love you very much, i care for you very much and i know many on the forums are so glad you are here, so glad you share your story and contribute.

Get some rest my angel, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi Jacques just wanted to see how your doing. Hopefully about now you are in the garden in the sunshine.

It's raining here today and the girls are restless. It's going to be a long day.

Thanks for the support last night, I do seem to be all over the place, my moods are so changeable, it's difficult to keep on top of them.

Hope you have a good day Jacques.

Thinking of you

Re: 14th year house bound

hi my angel, it is bucketing down here, so no gardening today, i am in the shed working on my motobike, listening and smelling the beautiful rain, sorry you are probably sick of the rain, but we don't get much rain, so i am enjoying it while it lasts.

oh Karen, it must be so hard to kepp two bundles of energy occupied, can you take them to an indoor play centre?

Karen no need to thank me, you mean the world to me, you are special to me, you are more than an anonymous friend on a forum to me, you are a life long friend for me. i would do anything for you, anything.

thinking of you my angel, i do hope the girls find a way to keep occupied, and i hope your moods stabalise, i do know how it is, my moods literally change from minute to minute.

i have my smart phone with me so post any time and i will respond when i get it.

Re: 14th year house bound

hi Karen

well another day is almost done, i do hope you got some sunshine this afternoon, and you and the girls managed to go to the park or something.

you are doing well Karen, try to accept your moods for what they are and allow them to come and go. fighting the mood swings does nothing to limit their effect of us.

well just want to let you know i am thinking of you

take care, be safe

Jacques
