14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Hi Jacques just checking in after last night.

I wanted to thank you for you support. You know exactly what to say and how to help when things are so bad. I am really grateful that you showed me you cared.

You are the perfect friend, kind, thoughtful and considerate.

I hope your day goes well.

Im thinking of you Jacques.

I know you don't like hugs but I will give you a big hug anyway.

Take care

Re: 14th year house bound

that is no problem my angel. i am so glad i was able to help you like you help me.

Karen i will always care for you, you are my friend, that s what i do for friends.

well i am having a rest today, might chop up some material later today, but otherwise pretty quiet.

I could not sleep last night and ended up SH at 2am, it was the only way to calm down, i am ashamed of it, but i have no choice.

i do hope today is a better day for you, and it is friday, so we can have our own little friday night feast right here if you like.

Karen i would always accept a hug from you, even in real life. you mean more to me than anything else.

Hey Jacques in having a quiet day I've decided to spend it in the car. I need to rest physically and emotionally.

I have to take the girls to their psychologist today. They are normally pretty emotional afterwards.

They are making their own teddy bears today. So they have something to hug when they are distressed.

I'm so sorry you had to sh Jacques, it awful thing to have to do to get through another day. But you made it so congratulations.

All you can do is accept it. It's happened and you cannot change it but be kind to yourself and move on.

Easier said than done. I understand.

We all have our own battles to fight and we get through the days anyway we can.

Take care Jacques

oh i am so glad you are resting, i think you are so tired you have worn ourself out. oh yes i suppose the girls have a lot of memories they ned to sort out, i do hope they manage to recover from all that happened.

that is nice, a teddy bear, their is nothing like one, my Oma made me one when i was 4, i still have it.

Yes you are right, i need to accept it, but it seems to be a nightly ritual now, like a habit i need to do before i can sleep. it is really scary.

you are right we all do what we have to to make it through each day.
