14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Oh Jacques that's just wishful thinking. I don't see things any better than what they are now.

There is only worse

SorryJacques I'm such a pessimistic person.

What will you do to try not to sh?

My angel,

I am so sorry, i am having major problems with this site too, messages are irregular and i am not getting the emails straght away.

Karen i am always a glass all empty too, i always look to the negative. I think with our life experiances it is normal to look at everything in a bad light, we need to change our world view to see their are some good things in life, even when we are struglling.

I need the fear to over ride the SH, before i went on medication i SH only 1 -2 times a week, but since the anxiety has lessened i am SH every day, i don't know how to stop Karen, i know it is an addiction, but i know i have to find another way to release the doppamine in my brain.

Have a good night my angel, i will be thinking of you, please try not to push yourself tomorrow, remember not all the mowing needs to be done in one day, their is always a tomorrow, that is how i look at life now, please try to think this way too. you put too much pressure on yourself.

Take care, be safe.

Jacques

Hi Anne,

So nice of you to drop in, i am glad you have enjoyed our conversation, i am so glad to see you supporting @chookmojo tonight, she is an amazing person, and i am glad you are supporting her.

I am so sorry to read you mixed up your medication, you must read the doctors notes Anne, i hope you feel better soon. how is Arlo? how are you doing?

Re: 14th year house bound

I read @hiddenite list of techniques to distract from SH and found that I have used them too ... maybe none of it works in isolation but it can work when all are used together... and maybe a few key things that hook into the why of it.

@Jacques is right it becomes addictive ... so similar strategies to stop addicitive behaviours may help break the SH cycles.

I only distinctly SH for 12 years ... though there were a few other problems with self-medicating and severe dissociation probably from 6 years of age.

Maybe the new house and the renovated house can become SH free zone's (ooops - edited)) ... gently gently ... no guilt for slip ups ... but gradually ... leave that as a thing of the past

as you move into your Brave New Worlds.

Yes well ....Jacques
I feel like a silly billy complete..... I've broken up with h. About twice a day for a while now.... And he's struggling with times of MI himself......
Arlo is GORGEOUS. He is my absolute honey. Just lately..... A couple of people o know have told me that they don't even like dogs until they met Arlo.
Yes, Arlo is a traitor. When I meet some people.... He goes and sits at their feet .. 🐜🔥🐛🐙🐸🐠🐞☀️🐬🌊

Tomorrow he's getting his haircut so Ille post photos of the traitor xx 🐷🐺🐀🐹🐱🐭🐎🐈🌼🌷🍁🍂💐🌿🍃🌰
Oh how are you ?
It's very very nice reading up on you two
