14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Wow Jacques that's is beautiful, you are right it will be perfect once you've put some pebbles down.

You really have been busy, your mum must be so proud of you for making the house a home. You are so talented!! I might have to get you to my place when I need the garden done.

I hope you have enough water in the tank you made to keep them alive.

For someone who says they have no purpose you should take a good look around to see how talented you are.

Thank you Karen, yes they will be nice when i get it all finished, i am so happy i can share it with you Karen, it is going ot be hard going putting all the pebbles in on a 40 degree day, but will be worth it.

Yes the past 4 weeks have been consumed with the yard, i have planted this year, close to 40 plants, it is so nic eto have colour, mum said since we ignore the outside world we are going to make our yard our own little paradise.

Karen all the plants are drought tollerant, so they don't need much water, 30min per week is all they need.

Karen i am just trying to make the house nice for mum, she has lived in such a run down place for so long, i am so ashamed i have allowed her to live in such attrocious conditions, plus if i am ever unable to care for her, if my time is up, she will be able to sell the house for a little retirement home.

Oh I'm so glad I didn't wreck anything. I was worried I'd done something wrong.

The girls managed school. My daughter decided she wanted to talk to the teacher about what had happened. She's been crying a lot it's shaken her up. Her teacher spoke to the girls involved. So hopefully she will be ok.

I'm aching all over the mowing was a big job. Should become easier as I get fitter.

The neighbor came across and introduced herself, I was shaking so much and stuttering.

She told me the old shed at the front of the house is an old milking shed and has historical significance to the area. Apparently someone offered to buy it for 5 thousand dollars. It was a real surprise.

She also invited me over for a cup of tea. I will never be able to go but at least she asked.

Wow that is fantastic Karen, you should be so proud of your little girl, it takes great courage for her to do what she did, i hope you rewarded her for taking such a big step, she is one intelligent girl, you should be proud of her.

Oh yes I know the aches and pains of mowing, my legs are killing me from planting all the plants, sometimes it is not good being tall, lol.

OMG that is wonderful KAren, i am glad she came across and said hello, i hope she is nice, i know the feeling Karen, but maybe one day you will be able to take her up on the offer. It makes me feel a little more at ease knowing you have good neighbours, i was worried about you being so isolated.

Wow, the shed sounds like a real gem, Karen i a mso glad you have such a beautiful home, I know you will make it even better.

Karen is the neighbour the reason why you had to call the suicide hotline?

Hi Jacques I'm so sorry I worried you I was just not doing well and didn't want to bring you down.

I was so exhausted.

You could never do anything wrong.

I hope you are in the garden today.

I would love to see more photos of the garden one.

Take care

Karen
