14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Hi My angel,

I am so proud of you standing up and saying no, i am going home. It takes a lot of courage to do that, i am so glad you are putting your MH ahead of a holliday.

Karenyou stayed their for an entire week, that is not a failure, and your mothers comments are just that her comments, she could have stayed, their was no need for her to come back.

Karen you should never have to put up with the abuse you are getting from your mother, she sounds like she has some serious issues herself.

I am so happy you are out of that awful place, i am so glad you are home.

Karen sorry about not messageing you today, my internet was playing up, i have fixed the problem so i should be online from now on.

Take Care my angel, i am so proud of you

Jacques

Hi Karen,

I think it's ironic that your mother says your weak, when actually what you have done to go home shows a lot of strength.

Hope you join us for Friday Feast tonight. Just cooking up my dinner now 🙂

Hi Nik

I don't join in with Friday feast because I don't know how to put pictures of food up. I don't want everyone to know that I'm too stupid to work a computer...so I isolate myself with Jacques.... Bit overwhelmed with so many people.

Hope you had a good day

Karen

Oh I must reassure you - the food part is just a joke.. it's more about the conversation 🙂
Not everyone posts pics of food nor does anyone care.
I hope to see you there!

Karen you need to try not to be so tough on yourself, you are not stupid, you are a quick learner, when you are ready i will tech you how to post a picture, just when you are ready.

So what are you and the girls up to tonight? how are you settling back into your own room? i bet it is a reliefe to be out of that place, i hope your mother gets over her issues tonight so you can move on.

Well My angel i mowed the lawn and pained the new stand the toilet is sitting on, then i covered the stand for the laundry tub, i got tired this afternoon and got a little sleep, but i have not been sleeping well lately, i am to anxious.

Chat to me if you Like Karen, i know you are feeling a bit down tonight.

Hi Jacques I missed you today.

You sure do keep yourself so busy.

Wow you know how to cut hair is there nothing you can't do:-)

I would love a hair cut, it's been way too long.

The girls stayed with mum and dad. I know.....but it was just too much pressure. So I'm alone for the first time in a year. Thoughts are awful with no one here to distract.

I'm glad your internet is working j

Hi Karen, i am glad in a way you have some time to yourself, it will give you a much needed break, some time out, Karen you just need to talk to me for distraction, make sure you put on some music too, this will help.

Yes mum trainned me, i was terrified the first few times, but she persisted and i learned how to do it, i would love to give you a hair cut Karen, something to make you feel special, i so wish you cound find a way to get yours cut.

I missed you too, i was so cranky this afternoon when the internet played up, but i am here now so we will have a nice night.

Your on j one virtual haircut to make me feel beautiful:-)

I wish.....

You are full of surprises Jacques such a talented person. I think it's wonderful that you try so many different things. One day you in the garden, renovating, computers, cutting hair.... no wonder you need to rest in the afternoon.

I feel lost with out the girls around they help keep me grounded. I don't even remember the 2 hour drive home I have become so detached.

It is understandable Karen, the girls have been by your side for so long, you want to protect them, you are their mother, i wished they would have gone home with you, but they will be home soon, make sure you follow your techniques to keep safe, you are doing really well Karen, i am proud of you for taking the step of knowing your limits, you are a wonderful person Karen.

I have never seen you, but you are a beautiful person to me, your soul has no hate, you are the kindest person i know
