14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Jacques you are not being too forward, if I don't learn to stand up for myself she will emotionally destroy me.

Yes you are right Karen, please don't feel like bad about me being upset, i am not upset with you, i am upset with your mother, Karen, you can do it, i know it is hard, but you need to make a stand sometime, i am so worried that you will have a mental breakdown from being in such a horrible place.

I can't believe you have made it this long, it is a credit to you, i could not eve nspend on night where i was abused, you are so much stronger than me.

Karen you have to understand that you have been conditioned by your husband never to stand up for yourself or talk back, it will take a long time to rebuild your self worth and self esteem. but you know what Karen, you can do it, i will be with you every step of he wayt, i can already see some improvements in your self esteem when you where working on your new home. it is a shame you have had this setback.

Hang in their my angel, it is almost over.

Hi Jacques

My youngest lost her tooth today while at the park. The girls are so excited about the tooth fairy coming tonight they have made her a house. It's all made from boxes and paper. There is a kitchen, table and chairs, tv, lounge, bathroom with toilet. The bedroom is decked out with a double bed and blankets in case the tooth fairy is tired and needs a rest.

The girls have written a letter asking what her name is

Favorite color

Favorite food

And the she leaves proof that she has been.

So tonight I have to wait until they are asleep sneak in answer the questions, make it look like I've been in the house, oh and I better not forget the money.

I've found some glitter and tinsel I'm going to spread around......fairy dust....

Anyway that my night.

Hope you are ok j

Thinking of you

Karen

OMG Karen you are so sweet to those girls, oh yes Miss tooth fairy, that is so sweet, making her a little house, your two girls sound so smart and creative, just like their mum.

That is so nice the girls are asking her questions, and it will be a nice toucvh with the "fairy dust", i am sure the girls are going to be so excited tomorrow morning.

Well my angel, you are sounding a little better. i hope you have managed to get your thoughts together, i was worried about you this afternoon, i am still worried about you.

So what did you and the girls get upto today, besides a missing tooth.

Re: 14th year house bound

That is so sweet @hiddenite !

I actually remember my letter from the Toothfairy from my first tooth.

I had a funny one with my first tooth... I lost it at school and was devastated because I actually LOST the tooth literally.. I couldn't find it in the dirt. I was so upset.

My family reassured me it was okay and the toothfairy would come.

I woke up in the morning to some money in a glass next to my bed and then some money under my pillow with a letter!! I was so confused. My family told me that there were more than 1 toothfairy (because there's so many kids losing their teeth) and a sign for one tooth fairy to know that the child had been visited was through the tooth registry and because my tooth hadn't been 'logged' 2 toothfairys must have visited.

I was so excited!

What had actually happened though was toothfairy 1 who put money under my pillow was my mum and toothfairy 2 was my aunt, who thought my mum had forgotten, so put money on my bedside table.

In reflection, I'm kinda concerned at how good they were at making up stories

Hi Jacques

This morning we went to the big park. Came back had some lunch and went to the little park followed by a trip to the beach. We made sand castles and dug huge holes and filled them up with water. We went for a walk looking for shells and feathers to decorate the sand castles. They also managed to get wet but the water was too cold for me.

Oh the tooth fairy now has an in ground swimming pool....

A campervan......

And lots more questions to answer
