14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Hi My angel,

Well another night is gone and you don't have much longer to go now, well i did not sleep much last night, i had some serious muscle twitching and restless leg syndrome, i was getting so frustrated by it, it seems to happen a lot lately, i think it is another thing linked to anxiety.

I hope you and the girls manage another day at the beach, they sound like they have a fantastic time their, i hope their is many a sand castle to be made.

Well take care my angel, my thoughts are always with you.

Hi Jacques

I understand your reasons, but while I'm here for you I will do whatever it takes to keep you safe.

I'm your friend and I never want to loose you again.

I was so devistated about what happened that I ended up in the mhu. The whole thing was handled really poorly. I went from having wonderful support to nothing. It literally tipped the scales for me.

Anyway I intend to be you friend for a really long time j so you had better get used to the idea:-)

I'm thinking of you today, and hope the plumber does a good job.

Oh and Jacques never be sorry for your feelings I'm here to support you unconditionally.

Take care

Karen

Hi Jacques

Hope the renovations have gone well today.

It's been a difficult week but I'm sure you can see the benefits afterwards. The house must be looking good and the garden.

I have told mum I have to go home. I can't spend another day here. Well that didn't go well at all she called me pathetic and weak, that I'm running away.

I feel I'm being backed into a corner. There is no win win....

If I go I'm pathetic, weak, worthless, running away...

If I stay I'm putting my safety and mental health at risk

Either way no good options

Thinking of you

Karen

Hi My angel,

Well another day done, my anxiety is high but i made it, the new toilet is in and i am a little excited, the old one was cracked everywhere because previous tenants thought it would be funny to wreck it, so it is nice to have a toilet that is not leaking and is in new condition.

Karen i will do what ever it takes to not let you out of my life again, if anything happens i will find a way of getting in touch. i feel so close to you Karen, we have so much in common, i could not bear to lose you again.

Yes me and my mother are so angry at the way the other forum treated you and me, i was assured that you where safe when i contacted them directly, which obviously was not true.

Oh well i hope you like a tall slightly overweight and kind friend, because i am hoping to be here for a while, if you are in my life, so you had better stick around

How has your day been Karen? what have you and the girls got up to today? i hope you are going to have something yummy for dinner again.

Karen i am so proud of you posting on other parts of the forum, this is a big step for you, you have done really well, i know how hard it is for you to do this, please keep reaching out to @Appleblossom and @PeppiPatty, please remember we are all your friends, you can't say the wrong thing, i know i am often terrified about talking to people on here for the same reasons as you, worried i will say the wrong thing, but you know what, i have come to the understanding we are all in the same boat, we are all scared, but we reach out anyway.

Take care my angel, be kind to yourself

Jacques

Hi Karen, I am so at your mother right now, what a piece of work, jeperdising your mental health for her holliday, she knows what happened to you, she has to see how hard it is for you, Karen you need to make a stand and say "no, my mental health is important to me, i am going home."

Karen you ar enot pathetic or weak, you are strong and smart enough to know you can't handle any more, please listen to you intuition, what your mind and body tells you is always the truth.

It is your life Karen, not your mothers, you are not a child any more.

Sorry if i sound so forward, but i hate to see you in such distress for someone else, i understand the girls needed a holliday, but their are plenty of other places to go.

Karen i am going to support you no matter what, you are a fantastic person, and you are starting to understand your boundries, if you feel you can't handle it their any more, just pack up and go, you will be no good to the girls if you have a complete breakdown, they need you.

Please Karen feel free to talk to me anytime if you need support or a shoulder to lean on, my heart breaks for you my angel, it upsets me greatly you are being put in such a position.

Take care Karen, wishing you the best

Jacques

Re: 14th year house bound

Hi Jacques I just seem to do this. Honestly I have no idea how to stand up for myself. I can finally admit that I'm stuck in an unhealthy terribly abusive situation. But I am so scared of everything, and everyone.

24 years of abuse from my husband now this. I have never stood up to anyone.

I am pathetic and weak j. How else would you explain the fact that I allow myself to be abused. I hate myself so much.

I don't know how.... I'm so frustrated and angry with myself for being pushed into this corner.

I'm sorry if I make you angry Jacques unfortunately this is who I am.
