14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

Hi Jacques

Sorry I went offline last night, I was too dark and didn't want to upset you or anyone else on the forum.

I haven't got up any better.

Good luck today with the pest inspection, I hope they don't take too long..

I am 2 hours from home, if things get any worse I don't think I will be able to drive.

Jacques thanks for the information last night I will look at it today.

As far as I know nothing gets the smell of bleach out of your hands, it just has to wear off. At least you know your hands are clean.....

The door sounds like a great idea j it sounds beautiful. You are so talented, your mum is so lucky to have you.

Take care

Karen

Hi Jacques thanks for finding the website, but they all seem too far away. With all the driving I have to do to get the girls to their appointments it's, too far for me to manage. But I'm very grateful you are trying.

At this stage even if it was near where I am living I couldn't make the phone call for an appointment or see another strange person or place.

Thanks heaps j

Karen

Hi Karen,

I thought you where in a bad way last night, but you managed to struggle on, i am proud of you Karen, it takes incredable courage to do what you are doing.

Oh no Karen, i think you should seriously call your medical support team to see what they think you should do, i think you should go back, you are really struggling, i can see you have gone down hill the last few days, i am really worried about you, about what long term effects this is going to have on you mentally.

I am sorry Karne i am trying to find something rural in vic, but their does not seem to be any treatment facilities, maybe someone reading this can suggest something or somewhere which can help epople with PTSD.

Oh boy, you are not wrong Karen, i can still smell the bleach today!!!!!!, it is going slowely, it was worth it though, the bathroom looks amazing.

Oh yes, it took mum a while to come around to the idea, but she is a little excited too, it will be my first attempt at a door, i am so looking forward to it.

Well pest inspection is over, my hands where shakign so bad i could not sign my name on the contracts, it was so embarrasing, but they are gone now and i am home alone, mum has gone out for her wendsday coffee with her friend, the only day i have total peace.

Take care Karen, my thoughts are with you, be safe

Jacques

Hi Jacques

That is beautiful thank you so much for the photo I love it.

Two parks today, and the beach with sand castles and playing in the water.

Then we came back and made pizza for dinner from scratch. The girls ate heaps.

Hope the pest inspection went well and you got your furniture back where it belongs.

Thinking of you

Jacques is it just me or has the sane sight changed.

I for one am eternally grateful not to have the picture of the man on top of the screen.

Hi My angel, oh yes the web site has changed, i am so glad you like the change, i do to.

I am so glad you like my little plants, i am so proud of my efforts, something so simple as a plant can bring me so much joy.

Wow 2 parks and some more sand castles, i bet the girls had a wonderful time, and got rid of some much built up energy, i am sure they will sleep well tonight, how is your little girls croup going?

OMG pizza from scratch too, i wish i was their my mouth is watering already!!!!! it is good the girls have a good apettite, that is a good sign, i know when i am anxious i either over eat or don't eat at all.

Yes it took me 2.5 hours to move everything back into it's place, OCD was through the roof. but it is all done, i have the plumber comming tomorrow to fit the new toilet, so i am going to be so glad when this week is over, my anxiety is so high now i can't even describe it.

I hope you are doing ok Karen, i know it is tough, but i am proud of you fighting on, it must not be easy, i am in your corner Karen.

You sound a little better tonight, i am so glad to hear you talking about the day, i am glad you are focusing on the moment i just wish you could enjoy it.

Thinking of you too my angel.

Hi Karen @hiddenite,

I'm glad he's gone too. We had a few people give similar feedback too.

The new site feels much more calming, I think.
