14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

I think I'm getting to the point where I'm just too emotionally and physically overwhelmed to use the techniques I need. I don't know j if you feel like that. I just don't want to try anymore.

I'm sorry I don't want to bring you down j.

Being in this room is like being tortured...

What sort of music j....

Yes i understand Karen, i get like that quite regularly, i am always so worn out, i am over trying too, but remember Karen we fight on for eachother and our families.

Karen you are not bringing me down, i am worried about you, i just want you to be at peace, not to have flashbacks, but to think about nice things, you have been tourmented too long by bad memories, it is time for a change.

I know my angel, lets distract.

Music, i am listening to enya and enigma, very calming and relaxing for me.

it is a lttle cool here, the lambs are bbbaaaarrrring, and the calf got a new bail of hay, he is stuffing his cute little face with lots of hay, it is like watching someone with spaggetti, so funny.

I like enya and enigma haunting sounds. Better if you have a quality sound system

J I don't know where to go to get help with complex ptsd, anxiety, depression,ocd....

My psychiatrist is on holidays. And my psychologist has bailed and I have meet a new one next week.

I cannot find help that works....

It is cold here tonight I can smell the fire burning next door. I can hear the waves beating against the rocks. And the call every now and then of a plover. I can smell the sea air.

Oh yes you need a good sound system, luckily i have 1 , yes haunting sounds, have you heard the two groups before? not many people have heard of enigma.

Karen their are treatment facilities, i will look for some in Vic, and get back to you about them.

Karen you are in a tough situation, but their is help out their Karen, someone will be able to help you, you just have to believe.

Ooooh, i love the smell of a wood fire. and the sound of waves, i miss that from when i lived in QLD, Not a lot of wildlife out at the moment, the birds have gone to bed, their is the odd cat wandering around, the little buggers are setting all the sensor lights off around the house. I can here the frogs in the drain pipes, low croaking, and some crickets.

all i can smell is bleach, i cleaned the bathroom tonight, oh boy how do you get rid of the smell off your hands. it is so strong.

Hi Karen,

I don't know if you are still online, but i will tell you what i have planed for tomorrow, well, i am going to plant some palm trees, i have to clean the shed, and reorganise some things, then i am going to paint a new door for the laundry, maybe do some platering too ready for the paint, i am thinking of making my own front door, from scratch, it will be a square frame with 4 panels of glass through the middle, probably frosted glass. it will be my first try, i hope it works.
