14th year house bound

14th year house bound

Hi Everyone,

I am new hear, after being removed from other mental health forums for my depressive thoughts i thought i would give this forum a try, this is my story.

I am 33 live with my mother, i am almost compeatly housebound, i leave my house once in the morning for a walk at 6am and maybe once during the week, both times i leave the house fill me with great anxiety, i have no friends, (the last friend i had was in 2001), i have never had a job, never had a girlfriend and never been able to leave my parents side, my father died in 2001 and i have always suffered seperation anxiety the last time i had a night away from home was 1994 for one night (parents had to pick me up at midnight because i was so frantic).

I have spent most of the past 14 years in my room, or the shed, never much out of the yard, no one in my town knows me, people stare and ask each other behind my back if any one knows who i am.

I have only had an income for the past year and spend the previous 7 with no income at all, mum had to use all of her life savings to allow me to live with her and she now has nothing.

I only want to live long enough to care for her in her old age and then i plan to take my own life, i knew from an early age my life would turn out like this, but had no idea how horrible it would be, every day is the same, i often wonder why i keep going, i have very little contact with family (maybe once a year) and i am really struggling to keep going.

Please don't feel distressed about what i am saying, and i am so sorry if i have offended anyone, it is just how i feel.

Their is so much more, but i will leave it at that for the moment, i am shaking and the anxiety is kicking in so thankyou for reading and i will add more later.

Jacques

I still sit in my car by the river nothing changed there.
Im on a new lot of meds that have made me stack on the weight. I just cant be bothered walking everyday now I don't have the energy.
Everytim they put me in the mhu I deterioate. Last time I was in was two weeks ago.
five times since October. I hate the place. Worse that the t.v show.

my treating team have pulled out. They told me it is the worst case of ptsd they have seen and the medication doesn't work.

Big hugs to you my friend I dont think I have ever been this happy.

Re: 14th year house bound

yes Karen i have taken a big step forward, you should too, their are so many great people on here, so supportive.

i am glad you are still going to that river, it is so beautiful, so peaceful, me too, i have lost all motivation to walk, only go 4-5 times per week, i think we both have bad reactions to meds, but we need them. we are both such a mess hey.

i am so sorry you have had 5 visits to the MHU, i am so scared of being put into one, i know i would be like you their, scared, i can't believe their is not someone that can help you, you are finally free from him, you should be living a happy life, a forfilling life, i wish i could see you be happy, it is so upsetting for me to see you like this, you deserve so much more, i hope one day you can truly be free.

me too, i could not sleep last night just so excited to see you again, big hugs to you to, look out for my size 14 shoe, lol.

Take care my Angel

Re: 14th year house bound

Hi My Angel Karen,

yes, i never thought i would ever speak to you again, i am still in shock, i am sorry i usually post on mine and the friday, sunday and monday threads, i was reading your post but never in a million years did i connect it with you.

yes, i was writing, trying to keep some hope you were still around, still reading, but my low moods got me into trouble.

yes i made the holliday, it was nice, but i have paid a heavy price for it, i have put on 40+kg, and lost interest in everything, i sleep almost continually, and seem to have lost interest in just about everything.

i am so sorry you have had such a tough time the past, well forever, you deserve so much better, i am so glad you are still alive, i have missed you so much. i so wished you had managed to move on and had a happy life after what you have been through, i dreamed you had a house in a quiet area, by the river, and making it into a home for yourself, and being content gardening and having a chance at a wonderful future.

i still wish these things for you, you deserve so much more than that, you are such a brave woman, i have never met another like you, you are so special.

no need for the dumb blond jokes, you have done it, all you have to do is put an @ and all the names pop up, just choose one.

i was trying to get the other forum to help me get in touch with you, i was desperate, but no one would help me get in touch with you, and i thought about you everyday too.

oh i am sorry to hear you have not been able to be somewhere else, are they still giving you no support?

forgive you, you never did anything wrong, i am sorry for not making more of an effort to find you, i just didn't know where to start.

Take care my big sister

Hey @Jacques
wow I still can't believe it I wish I could give you a big hug. I know you don't like them but I will anyway.
I tried so hardito find you but no one woukd help me.
it was so distressing to watch you deteriorate and I blame myself.
I dont know how we became so close I think its just that I can relate to you.
I have never felt this way before. I glad I can say that I have my true friend back again.
we can fight together.

I can't believe you were reading my thread and didn't realize it was me. Lol

you gad better watch those size 14 shoes because I never left your side and I certainly not going to let go now. So don't forget there is always someone at your side ready to help.
take care my friend.

Re: 14th year house bound

you have made my year, i am just so happy now, i have not felt this way in a long time, and i will gladly accept a big hug from you.

i am just happy we have found each other now, you should not blame yourself, it was not your fault, we are both damaged goods, maybe we get on so well because we can relate to each others situations, we are both isolated and spend a lot of time alone.

i am glad i have made you as happy as you have made me, yes we will fight on together

i thought it sounded like you, but i just could not allow myself to be disappointed, i was to frightened to say anything, for fear it was someone else. i am so glad you found me though. i feel a wave of happyness and relief knowing you have had these great people to care for you.

i am glad you are their for me and never forgot, i thought you would never remember me, i didn't think anyone would remember me. remember when times get tought speak to me, i am always on here at some point in the day. i still don't leave the house. so i only have this site to keep me company, and now you too.

big hugs my sis

Jacques

Hi @PeppiPatty,

i am so sorry to hear your son is hearing voices, it must be tough, sometimmes it is hard to take the step to get onto medication, and sometimes it does not work for everyone. it is good you support him and help and support him, you sound like a great mum.

yes Karen is so special, she has been though a lot and deserves to be happy, i am glad you all took care of her when i could not. i am so appreciative of you all keeping her safe.

i think @Appleblossom is away, @Former-Member is flat out with the trial and kids, and @Mazarita i am not sure. sounds like everyone is busy or having a busy weekend.

Take care

Jacques
