So I arrived here at midday today. Feeling a bit lost. Everything is so ... strange. Not sure what to do now. Starting to get a bit anxious. A bit teary. Trying hard not to think, or to feel. Wishing I had a bourbon or some chips or junk food. Something to keep me busy and not feeling.
Hey @utopia I've been following your journey although not saying much. Welcome home! You might not have noticed me but I've been there all the way. I really admire your strength and courage through this journey - you are amazing. Thank you for posting your thoughts and experiences xx

Re: My Hospital Stay
Hi @utopia - it's definitely been an epic journey for you. You made it - you're a survivor. You're dogs must have been going crazy when you came home. It must feel good to be back in your own space. I guess now you ask yourself "what's next?" .... Great that you've got a treatment team and support in place. Plus you've got everyone here looking out for you. Have a great day and keep warm - do you have an open fireplace? I find them very therapeutic. Take care and look after yourself.

@Former-Member. Gas heater in the lounge. It feels warmer sitting in the sun outside than it does in the house.

@utopia not there at the hospital! But here checking in on your posts daily and silently celebrating the wins. Often I don't know what to say so I don't write anything but I have been following your journey. That's what I meant! xx

Re: My Hospital Stay
Thank YOU @utopia for sharing your experience each step of the way... it gives me some insight, I may be in hospital myself sometime soon. Reading your posts and the posts of others offering you love and support gives me reassurance that I'm not alone in this situation. I don't know if you realise what a massive impact sharing your experience has had on me and coming to terms with my MI. So again - Thank you. You have helped me a lot x

Re: My Hospital Stay
I'm glad it helped @Former-Member. Hopefully you won't have the shakey start like I did (workcover & old psychiatrist). Hospital gives you time to rest and unwind and learn some new techniques that may help in your journey. Or time for the doctors to adjust your medications. And you do meet some truly beautiful people in hospital. Others who are living their own personal journey of MI. But just like on the forum, they offer friendship and support. And of course, I'll be sending best wishes to you. As will others from the forum. You won't be on your own.
