Re: im back..... i think

@outlanderI think I have them fairly often, although I'm not very good at recognising it as a panic attack.

When my anxiety is high (or has been triggered by something) - I tend to dissociate soon after, which basicly numbs my mind & feelings, & blanks my thinking out. Some people call that a "Zombie-like state".

Night panic attack I've had a few of. They were very scary, because I woke up (from sleep) in a terrible fright - disoriented, & I did not even know where I was (or what had happened).

I screamed out loud, when I woke up, which scared everyone else (as well as myself).

Re: im back..... i think

Oh I'm sorry @outlander, I can imagine that this is tough for you. Are you okay?
If it's any consolation it's incredibly common, you're not alone in coming back positive.
What are your thoughts about it?

Re: im back..... i think

not really @Former-Member im trying to be but im not. ive got to go for another pap test again in 6- 12 months and hopefully it has gone. its absoultly terrifying me- even though i know its 'common' it doesnt seem to be helping me much- i would rather it dissapear now

ive also had so many other thing happening too but i guess i cant do much about the past now

such as the breast cyst, stomach thing been going on, and all my test results coming back making me look like a totl idiot

Re: im back..... i think

You've had a lot going on recently, it's no surprise you're worried, I know I would be too. It's kind of like one thing builds on the other and then it just gets too much to cope.
I guess that's when people tell you to take one thing at a time and to take care of yourself etc etc.
how is your cyst now? Healing up okay?
How did you cope with the pap? Was it okay?
I know one thing my doctor says to me when I get bad test results back - is to let him do the stressing for me and not to take too much on myself. I don't know if the idea helps you, but I found it helpful for me.
Wish I could give you a big hug.

Re: im back..... i think

@outlander. Panic attacks can happen anywhere & sometimes there is no obvious trigger. It may be that it started as a panic attack but you were able to stop or change or reduce it - due to all the work you have been doing on your calming techniques and therapy.
Headaches and stomach upsets are the most common physical symptoms of depression. I was reading an article on this today.
Were you able to try and breathe through the attack? Maybe doing some breathing exercises now could help

Re: im back..... i think

Its bloody scary stuff @Former-Member
It shocked thr heck out of me when she told me that.

Ive had the cyst checked and i was on antibiotics
I had it checked agin recently and she said it looks normal despite having alot of bruise colouring and theres still discharge coming from it. But at least its not painful now

Yrah i had thr pap test donr and i couldnt move afterwards for a bit and i was crying but she just let me stay there till i recouped myself
That speculum is thr most horrible thing and it felt way to big to be in there
But I faced that fear and i guess i have to get use to it cause another onrs coming sooner than id like it too
Ive got to start having clinical breast exams as well

I missed my period for and later discovered it was through stress as ihad bloods done yet another fear faced and stomach ultrasounds as i wss having alot of pain and couldve been gall bladder and i had ultrasounds done on uterus and ovaries and all tjoae are clear

I cant tell anyone that i have this either nor do i want to in life. I think my gp and nurse are enough to know

Re: im back..... i think

Gosh you've had a lot of stress. And Please don't be ashamed. I promise you, no one is judging you about this. Including your gp and nurse.
Dealing with your health issues head on is a good thing, you should be proud of yourself, particularly with how hard you find needles and the pap etc. it's part of self care and something we all need to do. (I'm not very good at it). And doing it when it's so hard is something to congratulate yourself for. I know I congratulate myself when I go to the dentist!
But please don't be ashamed, there are supportive people out there.
