hi @Mazarita@Owlunar@Former-Member@Adge@Spookytookims@CheerBear@Former-Member@Shaz51
i was lil-caterpillar
im back..... i think.....
im just treading very very lightly at the moment
but id like to let you know that i have read what you wrote on my other threads and i appreciate your kind words and for thinking of me even after i left here
Just put a cotton pad on it @outlander, maybe with a disinfectant cream, and cover it to keep it clean. If the dr has given you a steroid cream to try and didn't send you straight to a specialist, or to hospital, then they are treating it as something routine, like a cyst that seems to have "burst" as in leaked out .....
Try not to worry too much. Just kee an eye on yourself. If you come down with a temperature, that indicates an infection, and then you should go to hospital, but otherwise, go by what the doctor is doing, and they don't seem very concerned.
I know it can be frightening to experience things that you are really not sure about, but the doctor would have expressed far more concern if they were in any doubt.
Just make yourself as comfortable with it as you can, or work uo the courage to go to hospital if you really can't settle with it.
Hugs .... 💙

If you haven't found a GP by now @outlander, I think it's time to pop into the hospital. Even if there was a qualified Doctor on here, they would not be able to give you a diagnosis without a physical examination - which is why I think it would be best for you to go into the hospital. But if it eases your mind a little, I think this is a good sign and that the cream you were given may be doing it's job.

Well, they seem to be your two choices @outlander .... keep the wound clean and see the GP on Monday, or go to the hospital .... see which one is most important to you, and follow through on it .....

Re: im back..... i think
@outlander sweetheart, I think if you can't get into see a gp today/tomorrow go to the hospital if at any stage the area around whatever it is starts to get red and hot or you run a temp go straight to the hospital. I know it's scary, but nurses and doctors are trained to deal with these things and are usually really supportive if you;re scared and worried. I've found the times I've been to the er for sh I was soooo scared and it actually ended up being fine and the nurses were really supportive and kind. Just let them know how scared you are and they should be more patient and gentle.
