Re: Safety

I can see two really big positives in your last visit @Eden1919 1. your psychologist listened to you and understood that you needed some support - 2. you opened up a bit to him and that is really hard for you - so well done Eden.

It is natural to be agitated and even nervous or scared about seeing your psychologist - after all these are the people that we talk to about things we don't necessarily talk to anyone else about. That places us in a vulnerable position but this is also necesaary to help us deal with what we are thinking and feeling. Sometimes we need to face the things we don't want to in order to deal with them - is this easy - sh*t NO! Is it scary - YES. Does it affect us negatively both physically and emotionally - definitely YES. Can you do it - most definitely YES.

You have the strength and courage within you to do this Eden - I know this because I have witnessed it through our interactions on here for several weeks now. I believe in you and will be right beside you all the way. You can do this

Re: Safety

If you want to share any of it with me here then I am listening @Eden1919 but I completely understand if you don't. I do think it would be good to give it to him (as scary as that may be) as if you have written down your thoughts then he is the best person to share these with to allow him to know where you are 'at' at the present time. It doesn't matter how much is in it - your psychologist will get a better understanding of you from what you have written. You can do this buddy...

Re: Safety

Of course you are scared @Eden1919 - it is a lot to deal with! From what you have told me there are many levels to your fears and it often leads to you becoming really paranoid and feeling totally drained. But I do know that you have gotten through this so many times now and your psychologist will be able to help you come up with some strategies that may help when you start feeling like this again. Talk to him about this buddy.

Have you had your shower tonight yet? - I know this is necessary before you try to sleep because of your OCD.

Re: Safety

I do know your fears can take over for you @Eden1919 If you can - imagine me beside you looking out for you and waiting, guarding the door, while you have your shower.
