Re: Safety

@Eden1919 - so we kind of have the yin and yang of dogs - black and white - both fluffballs and both very much loved. I suspect your little fluffball is just as soilt as mine - my baby is my shadow also. He follows me everywhere. He does give me moments of absolute joy.

I love those little bunny wabbits with their cute floppy ears - adorable.

Re: Safety

I think you can do this @Eden1919 - and this is why I think this - we have been conversing now for nearly 4 hours. In that time you have shared your thoughts, how you are feeling and described your two beautiful fur babies. You have continued to stay connected and responded to all posts. That meeans to me that your mind is functioning quite well - even though you don't fel that way at the moment. I don't even know you that well but I am very proud of what you have done in the last 4 hours to keep yourself safe. I will continue to be here for you for as long as you need. Is there any chance you will be able to sleep tonight?

Re: Safety

Have a nice warm shower and snuggle up in bed @Eden1919 These feelings are tough to deal with but you are doing really well getting through it tonight. I will be around for a little longer so if you can't sleep give me a shout out and I'll sit with you again. Know that I will be thinking about you and hoping that you can sleep and feel a little easing of this pain by morning. Then you have your psychologist appointment. Your only job right now is to get through until that appointment the best way you can. Please jump back on here if you need more support tonight - whatever time - if I am not around - reach out to whoever is or call on a moderator. We care and are sitting with you

Re: Safety

@Zoe7@Eden1919 - my dog is a huge comfort to me. Giving her a hug or stroking her fur calms and soothes me especially when I have a nightmare or panic attack. Fortunately she sleeps with me on my bed and all I have to do is reach out. She innately inches up to me when I wake up with anxiety.

She's my reason for getting up in the morning and when the sun rises we are off enjoying some early morning exercise walking to the park.

Oh @soul I so totally get that. Toby is my reason to get up each day and to keep going. I know exactly where I'd be without him and it isn't here! I cannot imagine a life without him. Everyday he reminds me what love is

Hi @Eden1919,

I'm just popping in to say that I hope your appointment goes well today and that it brings a bit of relief from the anguish you are feeling at the moment. I super hope that today is a brighter day for you than yesterday.
