What do you do when you arent feeling safe but you dont want to go to the hospital and helplines arent working? Also what do you do when distractions and all of that stuff isnt working either?

That is not weird at all @Eden1919 I can't really talk about some of my fears - sometimesbecause it is too hard, sometimes because I just don't know what I am scared of and sometimes because it is not something I can actually write - either on here or in real life!
You know Eden - when we feel so low and down on ourselves we do struggle to keep our minds focussed on anything and all our negative thoughts and feelings take over. This really sucks but it is somewhere so many of us have been - so I do get how hard it is for you.
I know it really is a cliche but simply breathing is so important when you are feeling like this. Take slow deep breathes, concentrate on the air going in, count slowly to three and exhale slowly.

Hi @Eden1919
@Zoe7 is great to talk to, but I thought I would add that fear does not have to logical. I have a lot of fear laid down in my body from years ago that still surfaces.
The point is that it is your experience and that is valid. There will be reasons that make sense but it really took me a very long time to be able to name my fears and where they came from... still learning.

Breathing exercises can be boring, but I have done them with swimming and singing, so it makes it part of my reflexes.
Are there any sport or movement based activities you like?

They are both terrific ways to get to know your own patterns of breathing.
What strokes do you prefer to swim?
I just fessed up on another thread that I am not into rules. I also have had to do years of boring rehab exercises. Sometimes I am so over it. I go easy. Its fine just to notice where you are breathing from, if it is shallow or deep, or slow or fast.
