Re: I'm a mess

@Eden1919, it sounds like you are going through very hard times. Unfortunately we are not really set up to handle crises here at this forum. The best place to go for support at times like this is:

Lifeline: 13 11 14

I have read you saying in another discussion thread that you have tried Lifeline before and not always found them helpful. But it can be worth trying again, as every time you ring you get a different person, so you never know what new thing someone may be able to suggest to help you.

Aside from that, your best source of support might be the people in your real life who care about you. Or your psychiatrist, psychologist or GP if they are available today (if not, I would suggest making an appointment for tomorrow or as soon as possible). If all else fails, please call 000 and let them know the extreme level of distress you are in and that you may not be safe dealing with it alone.

When you do see your psychiatrist next, please be honest with them about your voices and everything. It is vital that they know what you are going through. Only then will they be able to help you more.

Kind wishes (@Former-Member)

Re: I'm a mess

i have tried lifeline over 7 times and each time i have felt worse than before i spoke to them afterwards. i have also tried kids helpline and headspace before neither of them were helpful either oh and i have tried suicide call back service they didnt help either. i see my psychiatrist in just over a week but if i tell them all this i will ruin everything.

@Eden1919, you are suffering so much from your voices and are reaching out repeatedly for help in relation to them here. Your psychiatrist is the very best person to help you with this. I know you believe it will ruin everything if you are honest. But things seem unlikely to improve for you unless the people who are there to really help with your condition don't know what's going on with you. It's one of those times when you need to take a leap of faith and trust in your doctors and be truthful. Wishing you the very best.

nevermind just forget i posted there is no point trying to explain because there is no sloution to my problems some people are just born to suffer.

Re: I'm a mess

It doesn't have to be the case that you are 'born to suffer', @Eden1919. You are very young still. I'm 54 and went through a lot of torment when I was your age (and at other times in my life). But life has got a lot better with the help of my doctors and psychiatrists and many others. I do believe that your suffering can be alleviated too. But this is very hard if you will not speak to the right people about it. What you are experiencing, other people have experienced too. Please have some trust in others to help you. Hugs for what you are going through.

but i am i am cursed it is hard to explain i might talk to my psychologist but not my psychiatrist my psychiatrist will only make things worse.

Re: I'm a mess

Nobody in this life is cursed, @Eden1919. These are things that we sometimes invent in our own minds to explain troubling experiences. It's great that you are able to talk to your psychologist about it. Is there a particular problem with your psychiatrist that makes it especially difficult to talk to them?

Re: I'm a mess

there are many problems with my psychiatrist. they never listen they dont actually help and they dont ever understand there is more but that is very private. and i am cursed.

Re: I'm a mess

@Eden1919, it sounds like you could benefit from a change of psychiatrist. Is that possible? It seems important to me that your relationship with a psychiatrist be one of trust. I have had several different psychiatrists over time for my bipolar. Some I saw for many years, some only once or twice because I did not trust them to treat me well and so decided it would be better to find someone I did trust. I know you believe you are cursed. That is something that will hopefully change over time.
