Major depression & social anxiety have been ruling my life and I feel so stuck. Lack of motivation, emotional overeating, loneliness..(my partner works nights and sleeps during the day, i have no friends & my family are either away or busy and I feel like I don't want to bother them) feelings of being worthless and hopeless, racing thoughts... I'm tired. And sad. No medication is helping and I have a support team around me (psychologist, psychiatrist, gp, mental health support worker) but I can't help but think why bother. Ive been holding on for so long and it doesn't seem to be getting better. I feel like there's only so much distracting I can do. Sorry, you probably don't want to read my depressing s*&t but thanks if you do.

yes, your right. 4 more days.. just need to stay out of hospital for 4 days. sitting under my weighted blanket with these icky feelings.

I can personally say what a difference a dog makes in your life @STORMGRL101 I would not still be here if I didn't have Toby - that I have absolutely no doubt about. He is the sweetest little puppy dog - my shadow - my everything! I love my Cat just as much but I can't take her everywhere with me - Toby on the other hand goes everywhere possible with me. My psychiatrist actually asked me today if I had him with me - I didn't because I knew I had the two appointments and I never know how long I will be at the GP's. Right now he is curled up behind me on the couch cushion with his little head on my shoulder. It is a very special relationship when you have a dog that knows when you are hurting and knows when you are sad and wants to love you so much. Don't give up @STORMGRL101 - I never thought I would be where I am now - I honestly didn't but even small improvements at the moment seem massive.

Here with you...walking with you...and holding your hand when needed...

You can do this...

Just keep thinking its only 4 more days @STORMGRL101 make it your goal take it as each day comes.
Use your coping strategies as you can and your weighted blanket too which seems to help you.
Just remember thats all they are. Just feelings 💕💕💕

I am going to write my plan for the night on here so I dont forget..
- have dinner
- colour in for a bit
- snuggle under blanket
- read posts on forums while watching a movie
- have a warm milk & honey drink
- take meds
- SLEEP

He's a Maltese Shih Tzu @STORMGRL101 All white with a cute little underbite. If you click on my profile and look at my images there are a few of him on there. He is a little cutey and very friendly. He loves everyone - which really isn't such a good thing as he could be easily picked up and taken - but that is unlikely because he is never more than a few metres away from me.

I've done my plan and feeling bad again. I'm all alone and times like these I need a dog @Zoe7 Im getting a Maltese ShiTzu..they are adorable..I will look for his picture.
