I'm afraid you may be a bit deeper than I am. I don't think I'm that complex. I am currently trying to cope with a situation that has annihilated my already very damaged attachment system. I pretty much can't feel anything for anybody since this final loss. I super enjoy hanging out in Forum Land. To me, Forum Land is filled with online acquaintances and one not-friend. I recognise that I have clicked with CB more than with anyone else in Forum Land. I also connect more with some Forumites than others. From my perspective, being able to relate better to some people than to others is a perfectly normal human experience and thus it is certainly not something I feel bad about. I am me. If people want to hang out with me, awesome. If they don't, I'm ok with that too. I like me. I'm ok about being me. Forum Land is a big place and I know there is a space here for everyone.

Everyone's crafts are looking so great, you are all inspiring me to take up a new interest thank you 🙂

@Catcakes Catcakes you would not believe the number of times this lil gp has said she is sorry ... I keep trying though and am getting better too. I love Forumland and appreciate everyone in it all the different characters that make it up make it special.

I was at a shop today and talking with the manager and she was lovely I thought if only I knew you better we would be great friends as she was so open to me and didnt care about where I had been, what I had done, she was a live in the present kind of person. Wish there were more people like her in gps world.

@Appleblossom @Bunniekins @Teej I hear you and agree with you about the limitations of the forum. CBT tells us not to 'mindread', experience tells us those mean words really were intended to hurt. Coded and infantilized conversations trigger my own deep senses of deprivation and abandonment.

Most snappy responses can be understood and worked around, I'm here on the forum in an endeavour to help myself, I know that by helping others (in a way that works for me) I'm also helping myself.

I am no altruist though.

In order to avoid or work through conflict there has to be awareness on all sides. Not everyone seems to have that awareness. Without that awareness, any attempt made at resolution won't be productive, thus I have let it pass - for now. I have not forgotten nor forgiven, I am wary.

@AppleblossomYour message is eloquent, kind, caring and sensitive, I appreciate your efforts and others will too. I wish for different outcomes all too often.

So often, in real life, these types of conversations happen around crafting and cooking with women who share wisdom and experience.

Your tension has improved dramatically. good work.

I'm very pleased you are hyperfocusing on project completion. Attention to detail and repositioning to get things 'right' is one of the next skills to master.

Are you going to reposition the legs? or are you okay with her the way she is? is it an accurate representation? do you have wonky legs?

Crochet is an excellent stress reduction techinique, so pleased you have taken to it so well.

What are your next plans? If you wish to share of course.

We do do some crafty stuff, but we haven't done it for a long time. Our meds have created a situation that make crafting difficult which is a bit unfortunate. In the past we've made all sorts of things, jewellery and the like, but also dream catchers, holiday ornaments, and lots of cards!!
Maybe having someone to share it all with again will encourage us to get crafting once more.

OOHhhh @Former-Member does that mean you're interested in learning/ doing crochet?

I intend to have the world doing crochet you know!

Or do you have another craft you're interested in... ????
