Welcome to Turtle Island!

What began as a discussion about personality types based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, quickly found a few of us marooned on an Island in the shape of a turtle (see below), in the South Pacific. We are currently having all kinds of adventures using our MBTI types to work out what might happen. If you're looking for some light-hearted fun, everyone is welcome to come along to stay or just visit. (You can get an idea of your MBTI here if you're interested.) Recently we found a (non-existent) suggestion box on the Island, we think it's come from an elusive island neighbour, so you're welcome to just fly (or swim) past and drop us some suggestions too.

Personality and what makes us us is something I find really interesting and I think there would be a few of us out there who share that interest.

@Spookytookims and I were having a chat about MBTI and the differences in our 'types'. I've found myself pondering what factors in our personalities might influence our interactions and the way a deeper understanding of people may improve communication. I like thinking about what makes two or more people 'click' or not.

While it's difficult to imagine the world being split into a small number of personality 'types', I am interested in what different personality tests offer us in terms of gaining insight or understanding.

Maybe an interesting discussion if anyone wants to join 🙂

This was the best thing to wake up to, thank you so much! I loled so much at how you've put our little excerpts in throughout it. And love the addition of illustrations. So good! Our adventure is getting so exciting.

I'll be thinking and imagining this and what's next as I paint throughout the day.

Oh - i didn't edit the front post because i got distracted going through the thread trying to find the pictures of Turtle island. You have them in a hidden album so I can't grab them either. I'll put it on my to-do as a break from painting list. We really need an intro post and an proper invitation for others here to join our adventures I think.

@Spookytookims That is SUPER cool - I love it!!!!!!!!! I super love the pictures and I love the storyline around @TheVorticon. You are correct, @Spookytookims, this little turtle doesn't really do kumbaya...but sitting beside a nice fire without actually having to talk to anyone else sitting there, sounds nice. I'm happy to take a swim around our sunken vessel to see what I can find.

Hey...I was reading what @CheerBear was saying about the thread and I'm wondering if we should actually put this whole adventure on a new thread??? I'm not sure how much effort that would take, but I'm thinking if we were going to do it, we would want to do it now before we get too far into the story. It might already be too difficult though.

Anyway, I LOVE the work that you have put into this @Spookytookims

What about if I add the adventure into the first post as it happens, after the intro @Phoenix_Rising / @Spookytookims? It'll be one long post but that way we can find it easily too and still keep the whole jow this has come about thing?

Hey...do you think we can change the title of the thread to "Turtle Island Adventure" or something like that? Can you change a thread title? I've never done that but I think you can (or at least a moderator can). What do you think?

I was thinking the same thing and would love that @Phoenix_Rising. I might be able to do it seeing as I made the thread. Can I have a go at putting the intro and episodes into the first post and changing thr thread title tonight please? I'm really looking forward to playing on the forum tonight when i can't paint anymore so it'll give me something to do tonight. Easy either way though 🙂
