Adventures on Turtle Island

Welcome to Turtle Island!

What began as a discussion about personality types based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, quickly found a few of us marooned on an Island in the shape of a turtle (see below), in the South Pacific. We are currently having all kinds of adventures using our MBTI types to work out what might happen. If you're looking for some light-hearted fun, everyone is welcome to come along to stay or just visit. (You can get an idea of your MBTI here if you're interested.) Recently we found a (non-existent) suggestion box on the Island, we think it's come from an elusive island neighbour, so you're welcome to just fly (or swim) past and drop us some suggestions too.

Personality and what makes us us is something I find really interesting and I think there would be a few of us out there who share that interest.

@Spookytookims and I were having a chat about MBTI and the differences in our 'types'. I've found myself pondering what factors in our personalities might influence our interactions and the way a deeper understanding of people may improve communication. I like thinking about what makes two or more people 'click' or not.

While it's difficult to imagine the world being split into a small number of personality 'types', I am interested in what different personality tests offer us in terms of gaining insight or understanding.

Maybe an interesting discussion if anyone wants to join 🙂

There were way too many tonights in that last post 😁 I'm stopping for a quick break and wondering how to get everything here done in the 2 days I've allowed myself to paint 3 rooms so I'm super distracted 😕 gotta run but will be back later

Hello Everyone!

Do you think it would be best to start a new thread with 'Turtle Island Adventure' and then we can move those relevant posts over, it would be a shame to lose the personality focused posts that's all!

Hahaha @CheerBear and @Phoenix_Rising Glad you like it. i was thinking is was not that great. My uni professor always say that when she hands me my high marks.. that I should start believing in myself a but more, but nup. Don't thimk it's ever going to happen. But I do love your positive words it's like "phew they think it's ok". 😄

I have to say my favourite is Cheerbear Grylls.. I mean when I think of Cheerbear's personality and priorities, and then look at that Cheerbear pic with the name Cheerbear Grylls, I just can't help laughing at what Bear Grylls would think of a pink bear who's priority is kumbaya and collecting fibre for swinging chairs lol. That's too damn funny to think of his reaction to it. But perfect if the name is Cheerbear Grylls.

guess you just gotsta have my imagination for it but it's just soooo funny in my head!

Cheerbear, I moved the two turtle island pics into public. Sorry didn't even cross my mind about that. So whatever you want to do with those they are there for you now. I'm not at all fussed what gets done to the thread one thing though, Turtle Island came about because I was thinking about the frameworks of the personalities and what to do with them. So in that way it is intrinsically tied to the personality types. So it's a hard one.

Anyhow like I said, I'm easy with that so you all do whatever you want to. Lunar can edit things to another Turtle Island thread, or even maybe have a link from the front post with the island pics to a Turtle Island thread for just the episodes.

Oo much thinking for my small brain. i'll just stick to my episodes 😛 and lovin Cheerbear Grylls haha

I like the idea of keeping it all here so we can see how it's come about, but putting all the episodes at the start so we can read the story. That's probably mostly because I'm struggling keeping up with bits and pieces around and maybe also because this place kind of feels like a nice cosy little corner of the forum for me at the moment. But they're pretty selfish reasons and being that this is a major decision on the island and I'm pretty sure one of the rules is that all major decisions should have input from anyone eho wants to contribute, I'm happy with anything as well.
