I hope today went well for you Cheerbear. It is very hard pretending to others that we are ok. Were you able to hide away during the day? Hoping you were ok. Sometimes we think the worst and it ends up being ok, hope it was so, for you.
Is your partner home safe and sound? Any plans for the weekend? Spookytookims
Was your day ok?
I hope your day was less stressful aj1
Is your little man feeling better tonight?
Are you ok?
Lil-caterpillar I read that you were stung by a wasp and fell off your horse. So sorry to hear your day wasn't good. Big hugs to you.
Is your counsellor helpful in regards to the SA? Try and remember, it wasn't your fault. You are a good, caring person and what was done to you wasn't your fault.
Maybe try and have an early night to bed. Sounds like you need to snuggle up in bed. Do you read? Do you have a good book? Or snuggle up in bed and colour or something like that. 💕
I've only just sat down. Have been out most of the day. Big drive, big ewalk in rainforest. Stopped at a cafe, then another big walk to see some falls.
I'm super tired. Having a cuppa now.
Cooked a roast amd veg when I arrived home.
How is everyone tonight?
I'm going to try and get to bed really early tonight.

Re: Complex PTSD - Depression - Anxiety - ADD - Fibro Myalgia/Chronic Fatigue - How do you "get over it"?
Only the one awful awkward moment of silence so far. It followed a happy bubbly conversation around a table where family friend asked those super nice 'how's work?', 'how's study?' etc questions to everyone. Then got to me and said 'are you able to get back into uni yet' and the happy vibe stopped suddenly and it went way too quiet and I froze. Not the best timing after hearing a sibling talk all about how fabulously they're going at uni and how great it is etc. I got saved by someone making a lighthearted comment about 'maybe just dropping that subject' and everyone kind of moved on. I felt tears welling up in my eyes and got that yucky lumpy throat thing but kept it together.
Later family friend asked gently how things were and the two of us had a quick chat. They asked if they could ask some questions, as people sometimes do but it was ok. Family friend works in community services and said something about how much our brains aren't designed to handle that kind of stuff and how it's ok if I'm feeling a bit messed up. So one person who isn't immediate family down which is a relief. A few to go tomorrow but getting this out of the way is another hard thing to check off.
I still want to hide and lie down and not get up and not deal with any of this and sometimes I really really wish I could but I know I can't. So I'll keep trying to hold off big feelings until I am more free to feel them and hope it's not doing anything too funky to my heart/soul/mind.
This stuff isn't easy but I'm doing it, like we all are in our own ways I guess.
Hope everyone else is having a good good friday.
@Spookytookims - hope you enjoyed your seafood and having partner back 🙂
@Former-Member and @Former-Member - hope today has been better for you both too

hi @Spookytookims we had fish but we did it the lazy way ... takeout. yes despite sleeping nearly all day he has been good he doesnt even have a temp now which is good. and thankyou, i like to change my pic every so often and i love flowers despite being allergic to quite a few.
hi @Former-Member wow you did have a vig day i hope you succeed with going to bed early and my day was up and down there always seem to be something going on that stresses me. mr 4 is much better he is currently temp free now just to get rid of his cough. and i'm okay or as well as i can be despite everything i have going on.
hi @CheerBear im glad you were able to make it through the day i have trouble at family gatherings paticularly because none of my family knows about my mental health issues so quite often we leave early as crowded events sends my anxieties haywire and alters come out so its easier to leave then explain.

yes @CheerBear it is very hard but my family knowing would mean telling them of the abuse i suffered and telling my mother that i blame her for most of it then she would find a way to turn it all back on me and make herself the victim so its not worth it im a rock to my siblings and i dont want them to feel bad for depending on me when i should be looking after myself and its not like my mother is any good at helping them when they need it and my step father is the last person on earth i would tell because it would hurt him too much and i am getting myself upset now so im gonna stop there but its just been easier to hide it from them
