The Highlight of Your Day thread

Today's highlight of the day is coming here, as I've been absent for a number of days due to exhaustion and just not having the time to come here (been a busy few days).

It is good to reconnect with a good bunch of caring people, so thanks! 🙂

The highlight of my day today was probably cats including a little Street Friend who usually does a runner from me but today came bounding out of the bushes to say hi. Street Friend walked in between and around my feet until I stopped and dished out some love ❤

Well I'm having another amazingly horrendous day and I have just emerged from my bed where I've been hiding for the past few hours. I was flicking through the woolworths catalogue and thinking about how my brain is so fried, I can't even focus on that! And then I saw something that did actually catch my attention.

In the woolworths catalogue there is a recipe for a "naked raisin and chocolate pudding." The thought that immediately crossed my mind was; Er...well if it wasn't naked, what the heck would this raisin and chocolate pudding be wearing??? And then all sorts of funny pictures came into my brain of how one would dress a raisin and chocolate pudding if one didn't want it to be naked! And then I giggled and yep, that's the highlight of my very dark day.

@CheerBear Alas, you may have already tossed this particular catalogue. It is for the week that ended yesterday. Yes, my concentration is THAT bad, it took me all week to check out the catalogue. I haven't got this week's yet so you will have to tell me if you see anything funny in it.

Maybe the raisin and chocolate pudding dresses according to mood @Phoenix_Rising @CheerBear? On a nice day like it is in my part of the woods, a nice big floppy sunhat and oversized sunglasses (think Elton John) might suffice?

@Queenie Giggle. I was wondering if perhaps it is a Christmas kind-of a dessert and thus would be dressed in a santa suit?

It reminded me of when, due to a poorly constructed sentence, NikNik dressed frankfurts in safari suits a few months ago at Friday Feast.

This particular pudding kind of reminds me of when Jamie Oliver first became popular. When I tuned into his television show for the first time, I was most disappointed to find him clothed. The naked chef he wasn't!

So great to have a chuckle inbetween all the horrible, miserable stuff... I'm a visual person, too, and the thought of a naked pudding is really funny to me...wonder how the pudding got its name....
