The Highlight of Your Day thread

I thought it might be nice to have a place to share the highlight of your day (even if it's found in a fleeting moment) 🙂

For me today, the highlight of my day was finishing the most annoying round of crochet in a blanket I have been working on for months. This round has taken me so long and I've found it so frustrating that I didn't think I would ever finish the project. Stitch by (incredibly frustrating) stitch it came together. Super excited to get to change colours and start the next round now!

Looking forward to hearing anyone else's highlights 🙂

...and because I haven't ventured out today, my highlight is reading a who dunnit without being concerned about what I "ought" to be doing. I'm ignoring the folding of clothes, the dusting and the mess in the spare room and the weeding (yet again.)

Hey @NatalieS - nice that you are finding some joy in your life. I don't like the taste of coffee but lots of people obviously do judging the lineup at the cafes when I go out walking early in the morning.

The highlight of my day is that it's my dog's birthday. She came into the world nine years ago and brings me happpiness everyday. Tonight, she will be having her favourite dinner - roast chicken.

I'm just about to take her for a walk.

Hey @NatalieS and well done on deciding to do a highlight each day as practising gratitude. It's something I should endeavour to do myself. That social enterprise cafe that takes on newly employed young people sounds fantastic. It also sounds popular too, if the owner is looking at opening more stores. I like going to a cafe myself (but don't like coffee), I have either a herbal tea or a hot chocolate. I like to people watch at cafes, you see so many interesting people come and go.

Happy birthday to your dog @soul! Roast chicken is my favourite too, we are having it tomorrow night. Lucky puppy!

Oh @Maggie, isn't it great when Mother Nature comes to visit? We have honeyeaters and lorikeets at the moment in our garden, as our flowers are all out in bloom. They are welcome visitors indeed!

The highlight of my day was coming home from work and putting my feet up, whilst eating my all time favourite ice cream - a banana flavoured choc-top. Love on a waffle cone. Inbetween every enjoyable bite, happily engaging in a lovely conversation with my husband. Boy I can waffle on.... (Yes, I know...lame 😏😆)

Who "has to" have one at the movies 🎥? For me a movie is not the same without my choc top 😙
