For me today, the highlight of my day was finishing the most annoying round of crochet in a blanket I have been working on for months. This round has taken me so long and I've found it so frustrating that I didn't think I would ever finish the project. Stitch by (incredibly frustrating) stitch it came together. Super excited to get to change colours and start the next round now!
Looking forward to hearing anyone else's highlights 🙂

Can you sell off the cuttings as firewood ? Or put a "free for the taking" sign on it ? It might all walk out of there and save you having to cart it away ....

Faith-and-hope, you'll be pleased to know I found someone who was glad to pick up some firewood (great idea), and he chainsawed the rest up to make it easier to put on my trailer. Despite having little energy in my muscles, I managed to load two trailer loads off to the tip today. Probably another two still left in my neighbours driveway but he can see I'm onto it 🙂
Thinking of a quick trip to visit S3, he has bronchitis now, after the flu - poor thing. I asked (tx but he didn't reply to that bit, he also didn't say no, so, in the thinktank, would you go? He's raised on me before for just turning up.
How is your week? Those two men behaving? You need patience of a saint lol One day at a time, just get through winter first 🙂💜🌷🌿

I am glad you found some help with the firewood. Nice that the guy chopped it for you too .... one good turn deserving another.
If your son is not wanting impromptu visits, then best to respect that boundary, but maybe find a gentle way to ask again.
WH seems to have settled a lot more than he was last week and the week before. The Regimen still reigns supreme, but he is not only working hard at not being controlling, he seems somewhat resigned to not being able to do anything other than place suggestions in f by of S2, but not too many. I can tell he is upset and perhaps struggling ..... it seems things keep going wrong, but he can't recognise any connection between that and what he is doing.
S2 is not good, but seems to be maintaining at that level at the moment. His sleep patterns are out of sync, he is not eating some meals, stuck on constant phone podcasts or gaming on the tv. He did play piano for a short time today, but he made a lot of mistakes and disengaged. I hope he will persevere with it anyway.
I can't make much difference with them, so I am painting and waiting it out.

Oh @Faith-and-Hope, we worry ourselves over our kidz (and I guess hubby). Hand it over in prayer. Its hard finding that balance 'pushing but not too hard' Does WH pray, go to church? Keep your 'War Room' active - holding you in the light 🙂

WH turns up at church after his morning jog, so he catches the sermon, but this is only recent, and I think in response to not knowing what to do about S2 .... so sorta like deal-making with God I think ......"Okay, I'm getting myself to church ✅ so can you please fix my son now?"
At least it's a start.

I am having a super challenging day as I psych myself up to see therapist-take-eleven tomorrow. However, I just had the highlight of my day. I saw that @NikNik's home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @Former-Member is home and @NikNik is home. Everything is now just as it should be in Forum Land.

@Faith-and-Hope, its probable, with all the prayer, that the Holy Spirit is doing a work on WH's heart. Be ready for changes, I hope you can still love all he has a bit offer. And am concerned with you for your S2, holding him in the light too. Praying he doesn't sink too far down the MI hole. Maybe a late 'gap year' for him, time with good friends can be helpful. Glad you have your art 💜 🌷🌿

@Former-Member Yeah I'm ok, just super struggling with psyching myself up to meet yet another psychologist tomorrow. There are a few red flags suggesting that she may not be a good match but I'm very much desperately hoping that she will be because I'm running extremely low on options.
It made me giggle that you said I was switched on. I guess that's one way to look at it...another way would be that I have a pathological fear of abandonment and therefore do not cope well with people being away and thus I am super sensitive to when they leave and when they come back.
