Learning how to be with your feelings?

Learning how to be with your feelings?

Hi friends. I recently underwent the DECODE trial for c-PTSD, where I was treated with Prolonged Exposure Therapy for two weeks. I was told that I use avoidance to manage my emotions, and that I have to stop avoiding feeling my feelings. I got a lot of advice about what not to do - don't distract myself, don't disassociate, but not a lot of advice on what to do instead. I am willing to be with my feelings, but just sitting with big feelings of rage, grief, fear or shame for hours does not seem helpful to me either.

I was wondering if anyone recommended any resources for processing your feelings. I'm interested in work sheets, journalling prompts, behaviour ideas, anything simple I can turn to when I'm having a big feeling so I can work through it instead of avoiding it or letting it rule my entire day.
