@Ayesha, yep, that wasn't the best turn of phrase. I can hear that you may be at a 'crashing the system' kind of stage, where it might not feel there's much to look forward to. What I was getting at was that sense of relief you have described better. Not having been a psych inpatient, I don't have first hand experience of what it's like. But I've certainly sometimes wished someone would take the whole responsibility of my life out of my hands at times of high distress with the bipolar. Hoping the medication change is not too rough on you and that it brings much needed relief too.

@Ayesha, have a cry if you need to. And then I suggest just taking everything after that one moment at a time. Remember to breathe and keep posting updates if you can. The forum can be a good source of distraction if you feel able to engage with it. I'll keep on checking in here to keep you company through this as much as I can. Hugs. ![]()

It is Marchhare here, one of the forum moderators. I can understand your anxiety and concerns and one day can seem like a lifetime when you are waiting. Meanwhile take it easy and take it one step at a time and one hour at a time. We are here on the forum to support you 24 hours a day and there are phone numbers you can ring if you need some talking support. Lifeline comes to mind for 24 hour support and their number is 131114.
Take care.

Morning, @Ayesha. You made it through the night, hallucinations and all. I had trouble in the night too and also took a sleeping aid. Rarely take these ones but needed to relieve huge tension in my body and bad headache that had accumulated over the course of the day. Still woke up at 5am here, just in time for first light, happening now. Do you have any practical things that need doing today, before your admission coming up that much sooner now than last time we spoke. ![]()

Hi again @Ayesha. Fell asleep again after that last message I posted. Feel better for some more sleep, if groggy (common feeling in the morning for me). Wow, I didn't even consider the possibility that you might be going to work with symptoms you have described. Glad you didn't attempt it. Good that you have reached out to your psychiatrist and will contact your GP too. Hopefully there might be some additional support from them today. Great that you have some prn meds to help with things in the countdown to hospital. Hugs for what you have been going through. ![]()
